I just went there today. Nice place, tacos were good, soda cold, waitress friendly.
Neighborhood is a little odd with the mix around there but not dangerous.

The Bradley Cafe on Main Street in Bradley Beach. Soto and his wife Graciela
put out some great food. Worth the trip for breakfast or lunch..

Need help with a wedding reception
Ria Mar in South River. I've been to a lot of weddings in the poshest places but if your looking for people to be talking about the food (lobster,steak,shrimp) you can't beat them.
Ask for Roy he is one of the owners.
A good pub in Hackensack?

Clancy's in the strip mall outside of Ocean Grove. They always have beer specials, inexpensive but tasty sushi and a good bar menu.

It's in Ocean County but Obco's on Fischer Blvd., Toms River sounds like what you are looking for. Hoffmans in Point Pleasant closed a few years ago. I have gotten good ones from Frank's in Asbury Park but it is a very limited selection.

I stopped i last week and got 2 slices. They were quite good even when re-heated.
I think they might have to rethink the pricing a bit though. The menu lists:

Chinatown Kitchen in Bradley Beach is usually OK.
I think the food was better under the old owners but it is still
fine for takeout.

People move to Ocean County for low taxes and lower cost of housing all at a loss of certain amenities. The lower demographics don't appeal to the support of a lot of the businesses that you want. Face facts. You're not in Hoboken, Paramus, Brooklyn or Staten Island.

Thanksgiving to go
Every year my wife get a pre cooked turkey and fixins locally. Every year whether it's Hinck's,
Franks, Wegmans, Europa South, Cask 516 or wherever the is alway something that is not just right. This year I was drawn in by a small sign posted in front of Home Cooking For You/ The Kobe Beef Store on RT 35N just before Fort Monmouth. They had a Turkey Special for $139
with a 12-14lb turkey, gravy, stuffing, whipped sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stringbeans almondine, cranberry sauce,rolls and a pumpkin pie.
The turkey was completely carved and everything was well wrapped.
It was the best tasting holiday dinner that we had in a very long time. It could easily feed 8 people. All of the ingredients were top notch.
While I was placing order I had a Kobe hot dog. Very good if you like a seasoned dog (I do).
