New Pasadena Restaurants
Hi! I went to the Spitfire Saloon in Old Town for lunch the other day and had a yummy asian pear and steak salad but was wondering if the rest of the menu is as good.... Also wanted to know how the food is at Brix 42 in Old Town as well???
Any Reports on JoLe in Calistoga?
We ate there this past Sunday evening - Delicious! Their menu changes daily to ensure they offer the freshest choices. The portions are "taste" size so you have the opportunity to try 2 - 3 different things. I had the most wonderful Cuban Bread salad with lemon vinaigrette and then roast quail. My husband had tomato gazpacho and short ribs which were the best I have ever tasted! The staff was friendly, wine choices a plenty - we can't wait to go back!!
Help! I've moved the the I.E.!!
Great link - thanks! Maybe there's hope after all????
Help! I've moved the the I.E.!!
Any recomendations for NON CHAIN restaurants in the Inland Empire area?? We have family coming and have not found the hidden "gems" for dining. Think Claremont / Chino Hills / Rancho Cucamonga area but if it's worth it we will drive further..... just not west =(
5 Meals 2 Days in Pasadena Area (Best of...)
Well, I grew up in South Pasadena and it has come a long, long way in the dining arena.... I am surprised at only 1 mention of the Raymond Restaurant - wonderful for lunch or dinner - try to sit outside if the weather permits. Mike & Anne is ok but Julienne is the place to be for breakfast. Have the Diane Salad at Green Street cafe for lunch and stroll it off in the Lake Ave district in Pasadena. For dinner head off to Monrovia - Devon for an awe inspiring meal ( think Black Bear Ravioli! ) or Bella Serra for authentic Italian cooked by mama in the kitchen. I almost forgot to mention the Pasadena Sandwich Company for the BEST ( and biggest - share ) deli sandwich you could have in LA. It's a tiny place but well worth it......
