I got mine at the OSH hardware store near Bundy & Olympic. I think it was less than $25. They also guarantee their plants for life, so if it dies, they take it back and replace it. Strongly suggest calling and ordering over the phone -- they don't always have them in stock, but are really helpful when they have an order in hand. |

Dong Il Jang also has really great kimchi fried rice. ----- |

The Hungry Cat also has nice, quiet outdoor seating in a courtyard that's well set back from the street (on Vine just north of Sunset). ----- |

Faves at Mitsuwa Centinela's Food Court? Wow... thanks, folks. Great stuff! You're making me hungry! Guess I know where I'll be heading for lunch. Thanks for the great tips. |

Faves at Mitsuwa Centinela's Food Court? Would love to hear from those who've tried any of the little establishment serving sushi, udon, tempura etc. at the 6-7 places tucked inside to the right of the front door. |

good happy hour food in west la? Hi hrhboo -- Please tell us about The Arsenal. Been by there countless times, and every time I staggered out of the Indian place across the street, it looked closed. Worth checking out? Thanks. |

They just promoted Yumin Lin to chef de cuisine; M. Richard was a "one night only" gig |

Yes, Albertson's of all places (at least the one in MDR has them) |

I just ate there last night, and had very good service and good food. My strong recommendation is to go for lunch when the prices aren't as steep--most dinner entrees are above $20 and climb quickly from there. gourmetla's point about happy hour prices is also well taken. I love their caipirinhas, but at $11.50 a pop, it gets a little dear. |

Romantic, Not Ridiculou$ near Ferry Bldg? Angeleno in town for the weekend staying near the Ferry Building and looking for a decent restaurant that's not obnoxiously loud and reasonably priced (under $50/person). Staying at Hotel Griffon -- any thoughts from locals about its Faz Restaurant? |
