Does anyone have any experience with Ikea kitchen cabinets?
We rented a vacation home this summer that had been renovated with Ikea cabinets. I looked them over carefully because we are getting ready to renovate our own kitchen. While the Ikea cabinets worked fine for the 2 weeks we were there, they are definitely not of the same quality as a semi-custom cabinet like Kraftmaid or Medallion (two we have looked at). It's hard to imagine them looking good 5 years from now, but who knows. I was not sufficiently impressed to spend my money on them.
Bluestar RCS vs. RNB
I am considering a 36 inch, 6 burner Bluestar range. They offer the RCS and RNB versions of this range, with the primary difference being a max btu rating of 18k on the RCS vs. 22k on the RNB. My question is this: does the difference really matter if you are not a professional chef? The price difference is substantial (RCS is less). If anyone out there has experience with the RCS, please share. Thanks!

Agree that all the electronic add ons are not necessary. I am sure it is also true that all ovens would be off (+ or -) if you took the time to measure them (I never have). Thanks for your helpful commentary.

So I gather you are happy with the oven and broiler? I am considering this stove and would like to hear comments on oven and broiler performance. One other BS owner said his oven was slow to heat and 20 degrees cool. Is this your experience? Thanks.
