Gourmet Dining in Kingston Ontario

I agree with people about Woodenheads. The Nonna Mella is a one-of-a-kind find because apple butter is only made in SW Ontario (apparently), and not many cooks use it.
For what you pay, Woodenheads is definitely the best bang for buck in Kingston - other than Swiss Chalet.
Pilot House...blech.
Greco's...decently priced and generous.

Gourmet Dining in Kingston Ontario

I'd have to disagree about Curry Original and any Indian place in Kingston.
Lived there for 3 years, and found everything overpriced and underspiced. But I am spoiled for Indian, being from Scarborough.

Restaurant Recommendations Please

We were a bunch of Anglos from Toronto eating at Au Pied de Cochon on Saturday night, and had a great time. Our table was held up because the previous party wouldn't leave, and the hostess was very apologetic.
Our waitress, Eugenie (?), was a blast. She was so animated about the food, and was ready with bang-on recommendations. The food did not take an hour to cook.
I had the foie-gras plogue du champlain, and it was deeeelicious!
In Toronto, if you ate at a high-end place like that, you would be dealing with high-end attitude, but not at APDC!
