Brunch in Port Credit
Not too far from Port Credit, Glen Abbey Golf Course has a great sunday buffet at $30 a person.
Order Trifle
Does someone know where I can order a trifle? I'm not a baker so am not even going to entertain the thought of making one. Any help please.
Family friendly French in Toronto?
If you are ever looking for another place, try Celestin. If there is 8-10 of you, you should ask for their 'private room' which makes things easier with kiddies. They don't have high chairs but you can bring in your stroller or portable chair. I bring my 15 month old there all the time.

Fine dining in North York/North Toronto area
Auberge du Pommier is a really nice restaurant. I like to go there for a nice dinner. It is just south of the 401 off of Yonge,
Private Dinner at Culinarium
My girlfriends and I had a private dinner at the Culinarium last weekend. The chef made the dinner in front of us (they have a kitchen at the back) and we got to eat it right in the store amongst the local produce. The menu consisted of Roasted butternut squash & sweet potato soup with garlic cream, Farfalle with smoked salmon, fresh dill and Ontario chevre, Ontario apple crumble with whipping cream and a Cheese Tasting of all local Ontario cheeses. We also got a bottle of red and white - also from Ontario of course. The chef was super sweet and she packed up the leftovers for us to take home. All of this for $100 each. I would definitely do it again. They do have cheaper options for private parties as well.

Where to buy Reunion Island Coffee?
Boom Breakfast at Yonge & Eglinton (on Eglinton, west of Yonge) carries the brand. I am pretty sure you can buy it.
CRAFT BURGER
Damn. I am sorry to hear that. I work in the area and go there almost every week. Yes, it is a little pricey ($10 for classic burger, fries and pop) but I like it a lot. I usually go right at noon or just before to miss the rush as the lineup can be right out the door.
Bachelorette Dinner Downtown
Spice Route (asian) on King West has fun large tables that can accommodate a large group. You can share dishes so that may make things cheaper (although they don't have crazy prices). It has a good bar feel to it too. The Beaconsfield which with Queen West West can probably accommodate a group of you and they have something on the menu for everyone and has a nice bar/edgy feel to it. Terroni in the old Courthouse Building does has a private area as well. Have fun!
Olive Bread
La Bambouche sells a great Olive Bread too which I believe they make in house. La Bambouche is at Yonge & Eg, south of Eglinton. I think it is on Hillsdale, off of Yonge.
Veda Indian Takeout
yup, they have some seats inside and a patio out front too (pending weather of course).
Speciality Sea Salts
the spice trader at queen and bathurst (west of bathurst) carries an insane amount of salt. they let you taste them and have little notecards displaying how and when to use them.
Good food near the ACC
FOUR restaurant at Wellington and Bay (below Far Niente) has some decent food. Their service is fast, just let them know you are going to the game. You can make a resy at opentable I think.
ISO: Picard Peanuts
You can sometimes find them at the St. Lawrence market. They are sold in bulk there.
Good brunch around Yonge and Eglinton, Toronto?
Alize is decent. Boom (east of Yonge on Eglinton) is okay, nothing to rave about but better than some of the places in the hood.
Restos near Toronto Centre for Arts?
Auberge du pommier is just south of there (just south of the 401) and has a parking lot. The food there is great and worth going through the extra effort if in that area anyway. The place is accessible by car or subway.
JS Bonbons is closed!
That is really sad to hear. I took some of her classes and they were fantastic...plus, her ability to play with chocolate and different flavours is amazing!
Weekend brunch spot around Yonge and Bloor
If money is not a problem, I would recommend C5 at the ROM. The service and food are excellent. Agree with above FOTE is great but is can be difficult to get in sometimes.
good delivery?
For healthy Indian (not your typical Indian though) I order from vedatakeout.com which is in Yorkville and a location on Church. Inexpensive and yummy. Plus, delivery is free.
Any recommended cooking courses?
Yup, I really enjoyed Calphalon cooking courses. I have done a few and they were excellent. It was really worth the price.
Great chocolate classes as JS bonbons.
What's good between Summerhill and St. Claire?
Just a little south of summerhill is the rosedale diner that makes a great burger, Pastis Express has some good french...a little more south to rosedale and you have a few more options.
Colborne Lane - 45 Colborne St.
thanks for the review. I am dying to try this place out.
life is sweet cupcake house - now open
Do you know the website? Another great cupcake shop is Kubo cupcakes. They are way better than the cupcake shoppe.
Vegetarian chow close to Convocation Hall
a little south west (definitly walking distance)...go to Baldwin. They have Indian and Thai restaurants that are sure to have veggie options for you.
Sen5es for dessert/drinks
Yes Perigee...they have some of the BEST desserts in the city....get their dessert tasting menu ;)
30-40 People Event in Oakville
Jonathans is wonderfu. The food really is fantasic...however, if the price is too high, I would check out the greek restaurant on Lakeshore - the name escapes me at the moment - I am pretty sure they can accomodate a big group.
New York Hound in town one night - need recs
Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar is a great place to go if you are on your own and want a pretty busy crowd (plus the food is superb). You will need to take a cab. Ki is seriously busy...you might be waiting in line. The bar in your hotel can be pretty happening as Rabbit mentioned...but it is part of Toronto's winterlicious so you might not get in.
Martinis and Happy Hour?
There is also the Pantages bar in the hotel...I believe they have a happy hourl.
Ok, Toronto foodies....
Jewels - I understand that you woudl want to stick close to your hotel - but really, you should venture a little bit away from it and get a true feel for Toronto's best...
Front Street - Yikes - head up to King west and go there...west of spadina that is.
- stick away from teh financial district and those chain restaurants on Front.
If you are up near Bloor - definitely Splendido if you are willing to shell out the cash.
Bar Supplies in Toronto
Dinetz on King is quite vrey reasonable. I believe you can also order frm a catalogue.
