Hot dog options in Durham/Chapel Hill?

thanks for the tip- that sounds like just what we have needed- it's ironic that its downtown because one of Durham's former best known hot dog places was located just down the street from there- it was called Amos and Andy's! My Mom still talks about that place. Also can't wait to try a bacon dog @ the cow store!

Where to find good corned beef hash in Chapel Hill/Durham?

Have you ever tried the hash at Mimi's? It's in Cary near the mall, and I think theres another one in Burlington at Alamance Crossing. Yes, it's a chain but they do breakfast well. I thought their corned beef hash was awesome.

Hot dog options in Durham/Chapel Hill?

I'd second that vote for Paschal's- and get a bowl of beans while your'e there. The place on I-85 is called Missy's Grill. Sure wish someone would open a decent Hot Dog place between Durham and Chapel Hill that serves "all the way".

10 Best Southern Hotdogs?

What actually defines a "Southern" hot dog is basically the combo of "mustard-chili-slaw- and onions" which is not available higher than mid-Virginia as far as I can tell. In the Triangle, the go-to spot is the Dog House- yes- red weiners and all- but the Bull Dog - OMG- is it greasy? Hell Yeah it's greasy! and Oh So Gooood! No whiners please! I'd also put a pitch in for Millie's in Smithfeild- love the Millie Dog! Those are really "Southern" hotdogs!

Strange Pairings that Taste Uncommonly Good

That's how my mom eats banana sandwiches, too. Never tried it with tomato. I like mine with white bread, miracle whip, banana slices, and potato chips for crunch(and salt). It's not so uncommon in the south.

Great Triangle Thai? Durham, NC

I've got to add a vote for Thai Cafe- although the Pad Thai isn't their strongest dish- I've never left there unhappy with anthing- especially when you finish with the most outstanding coconut cake ever served.Yumm!

Monte cristo in the Triangle?

I had a great one at Spanky's on Franklin St. a couple of years ago- it was on their regular menu though, so it's probably still there.
