Bank Atcharawan of LoS to Open Chada Thai and Wine in Las Vegas I'll follow Bank anywhere. |
Tony Roma's on Sahara has beef ribs. I love beef ribs too, but they're hard to find anywhere. |

I love the subject of pizza....it's as passionate as politics. Forget Grimaldis....fake junk. Don't buy into it. The only places to consider for REAL neapolitan pizza (commonly called NY pizza by those who've never been to Italy) is: Now for "neighborhood" ;pizza..... |

The truffle-parmesan fries at Envy. |

I agree whole-heartedly. This is the best new restaurant in Las Vegas. Cool and intimate, with great food and fair prices. ----- |

I agree. Bachi Burger is the best new spin on the classic burger I've ever seen! Prices are fair and the food in endlessly inventive. Only down-side is that the restaurant is in an odd location. But if you wait long enough, it'll become a franchise and there'll be one in your neighborhood. Burger Bar is good but it's not in the same league of inventiveness as Bachi Burger. |

What's the best steakhouse in Las Vegas in Chowhound's Opinion? I live in Las Vegas. Here are the best steak places, on or around the strip, in no particular order: I'd avoid Delmonico's, Del Friscos, and Stripsteak...although I'm sure there are those who think they are sublime...don't believe them. |
Between the two SW is much better. |

Las Vegas eating report. L'Atelier, Sage, Sinatra, Stripsteak I live in Las Vegas, and eat out every night. One of the worst meals I've had recently was at Stripsteak. Mediocre cuts of meat; fries that come too early and get cold by the time the main course arrives. Overpriced wine. Not to mention that the room is like a school cafeteria: cold and hard and tinny. ----- |

grind burgers, lv (tropicana ave) Grind is overpriced. |

Circus Circus Steak House is profoundly over-rated. The steaks are okay.....but nothing better than Outback as far as I'm concerned. |

Sea Harbor and Beijing Noodle #9 at Ceasar's Palace, Las Vegas I went to Beijing Noodle #9 yesterday. I love handmade noodles, having had them many times in Vancouver. They do have an authentic noodle-maker there, and the noodles are very good, albeit overpriced, but the restaurant doesn't focus on noodles despite its name. In fact, there are only about 6 or 7 noodles dishes on the menu. The rest of the items are the usual asian fare. However, if you crave the handmade noodle experience like I do, then this is about it for Vegas. If they were smart, they'd focus exclusively on handmade noodles, since there doesn't seem to be anywhere else in Vegas that offers this, and let customers add any meat and/or vegetable and/or sauce to suit their tastes. |

I agree, this is a wonderful idea for a thread. I hope people keep it going. My contribution is Rincon Criollo for cuban food. It's on Las Vegas Blvd near Charleston. It's like eating at someone's home in Havana: modest, no liquor but delicious. Speaking of Food Express at Palace Station, how is it? As good as it was when it operated on Decatur? |
Vegas: Great Cuban sandwich at Florida Cafe Florida Cafe is more like a regular restaurant, with booths and a bar etc.. Rincon Criollo is like eating in your cuban mother's kitchen. Both are very good. I prefer Rincon because it feels more authentic, but it doesn't have a liquor license so bring your own if you so desire. |

Does anyone have an experience at this restaurant that they'd like to share? I'm wondering if the food, and the experience, compare to Vintner's Grill. |

fine tuning fine dining in vegas Lotus: they have a buffet at lunch in addition to the menu, and that reduces the overall experience, not to mention they have an outstanding wine list that is more likely used at dinner. |

fine tuning fine dining in vegas FROM A LOCAL FOODIE'S PERSPECTIVE: |

Avoid B&B unless you like oversalted food. Bartolotta and Alex, at Wynn, are outstanding restaurants, best in class, but very expensive, so you should avoid them. I agree that Mon Ami Gabi, at Paris, is fairly priced and wonderful. Spago, in the Forum shops, is always good. All the fairly-priced, and outstanding, restaurants are off the strip. |
Please tell me about Hash House a Go Go in Vegas It's one of many good breakfast places off-strip. It's known for very very large portions! |
Where can I have an "Oh, my god" food experience? (Las Vegas) Rosemary's is a better-than-average restaurant, but not OMG...and certainly not in the same league as Alex, Robuchon or Savoy. |

Burgers and Half-Bottles Coming to Las Vegas? I know 5 guys very well...from Tampa...they're good but frankly they don't compete with Inn & Out, let alone all the Kobe-crazy high-end burger joints in Vegas. I just like the idea of a great prime burger with a half-bottle of red wine: that's my idea of heaven. |
Burgers and Half-Bottles Coming to Las Vegas? It's one of the best ideas I've heard in many years.....I've never tried the Yountville place but I am certainly going to be a patron of the Vegas place. GENIUS! |

Best Italian in Vegas? Suggestions desired. Italian: if money is not an issue, the best Italian is Bartolotta at Wynn. Il Mulino in vegas is very much like the New York version. B&B is very disappointing; uninspired cuisine with way too much salt. Valentino at times can be truly outstanding. Rao's is worth a visit but the food is average. By the way: Bouchon and Burger Bar have seen better days. They're running on the fumes of their reputations if you ask me. |
The burger I had on opening night truly wasn't as good as a 3x3 at Inn & Out. And I know meat too. By the way, if you want the best burger in Las Vegas, it is unquestionably at Bradley Ogden in Caesar's Palace. It's so good, one group I dined with had it for dessert....no kidding. |

Town Square is very, very popular, especially with locals. The Blue Martini is packed every night during happy hour (half-price drinks and bar food)...the Yard House is also jammed (more varieties of beer than anywhere else). I've eaten at Brio about 5 times: it's a very pretty restaurant and the food is okay (not outstanding by any definition). You can expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a table, unless you want to sit at the uncomfortable bar. |

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants! I lived in LA for 2 decades and went to Pinks all the time. Pinks in Vegas is not the same and not worth it. Nathan's is a little better. If you're ever in LA, you must go to the original Pinks however. |

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants! RE: B&B...they are notorious for oversalting their food. One time we pointed that fact out to the waiter, and he came back and said "that's the way we do it here!"....I've been 3 times but will not return. |

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants! Burgers: the perfect food, and Las Vegas doesn't disappoint here either. Burger Bar at Mandalay: good angus and kobe burgers with a large variety of combinations and additions. Expect to wait for a table, unless you sit at the bar, and then you might have to wait too. Personally, I think BB has gone downhill. BEST FAST FOOD BURGERS: Inn & Out and Fatburger in that order. |

Here's a local's opinion: |

First time to Vegas - Planning my restaurants! Bad news! Thing ain't what they used to be! And neither are Bouchon or B&B or Delmonicos. T If you want steak on the strip: it's either Cut or Craftsteak. If you want charm and good food, go to Mon Ami Gabi not Eiffel Tower, and you get the same view if you get a table on the terrace. If you want great Thai food go to Lotus of Siam (which has been overcovered on this board). If you want really great food, travel 25 minutes to Vinter's Grill in Summerlin. If you have money to burn, go to Joel Robuchon or Guy Savoy. If you want good food at a little less cost, go to Bradley Ogden or Spago (now that they have a new chef). If you want Asian food, go to Las Vegas' Chinatown (yes there is one). There is outstanding food in Las Vegas, it's just not always where you think it is. And don't get me started on hamburgers: oh my, there are many good choices! |
