Rave for La Posada

I had lunch there today and wasn't to happy with the La Posada Platter, Soggy food, Nacho's was a congealed lump of stuff. The Quesadilla on the other hand was excellent. I have eaten here before and the food has been good so I'm not giving up.

Haven't been any updates in a long time but they are still in business with different owners since the original post. Food is still good and I stopped by today for lunch and just had the grilled pork with vermicelli and it was nice, Very busy at lunchtime and parking can be hard to find.

New Chinese (Sichuan) in Acton

Went back today to try some different dishes. Tried the Dan Dan noodle and it had a good amount of heat and Tianjin preserved vegetable mixed in with the pork. Would have preferred a sturdier noodle but overall it was OK.
The winner today was the Bacon Slices in Spicy Garlic Sauce.

I haven't been here since my Ma Po Dofu adventures a while back but decided to try it again. Had the Spicy Pork Rib Noodle soup, first time I have seen it spicy, and I really liked it. God amount of heat and really nice noodles.

Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe, Chelmsford

Went back today for lunch and tried the Biang Biang Mian noodles and they where as good as the first time especially now when I was a bit more prepared in what to expect. Such a different meal and I love it and can't wait to see what gets added to the menu. I so regret missing last nights Chowdown here.

I wasn't aware of the change of ownership of Erawan of Siam until I ran into this thread! I visited for lunch today and they have a very extensive lunch menu and also a lunch combo menu that includes a springroll (not sure what the filling was) and two little fried dumplings (excellent). I had the green curry with pork and it was good and also lived up to its two peppers for heat.

Stopped by for some Fish and Chips today but that didn't work out to well. Soft shelled crabs are here and they had a crab sandwich with fries as a special so that's what I had. Excellent and the fries are good as well.

Sichuan Palace - Chelmsford

Having been there for lunch a number of times I'm a bit disappointed. Hot and Sour soup is bland and the dishes just OK. I stated elsewhere that the chef is the good one from Top Garden but after speaking to the owner again, this chef left Top Garden towards the end of last year so he's not the one that built up Top gardens reputation.

Asia Gourmet in Concord: Very Good Taiwanese

Stopped by today for the Soup Dumplings (delicious) and the Bone in Salt and Pepper Chicken and both was outstanding. Very extensive menu, and the menu itself was really nice with pictures of dishes and really nicely done.
Wish someone would do a Chow down in this place since I would love to try the more obscure items on the menu.

La Carreta's in Nashua - Major Downhill Alert

I stopped by for lunch today and found that my favorite lunch, the Special #4 is still as good as ever and the service is still very fast and friendly and the parking as bad as usual! Get here before noon or after one. Home made chips are excellent and the salsa isn't bad either.

Moved from North End to North Andover....Need help please.

Kashmir now does a weekend buffet that's not bad at all, especially for $9.95. Not the biggest selection but everything I tried today was really good.
My first plate was Rice, Saag Paneer, Eggplant, Chickpeas, Tandoori Chicken and fried bread. Everything was really tasty and the Eggplant packed some serious heat, especially for a buffet. The chickpea preparation was different as well with a bit of tartness. Tandoori Chicken was tasty and moist. The fried bread was new to me and really excellent and was supposed to go with the chickpeas but went well with everything.

They now serve lunch and I expected a limited menu but most of the dinner menu is there plus a bunch of sandwiches. I had the Linguine with Clams and that was the most expensive item on the menu at $11.99 but it was worth every penny! Warm bread, dipping oil, freshly grated cheese was delivered as soon as you sat down. Being able to have food at this quality at lunch prices is a real treat.

Sichuan Food at Top Garden in Tewksbury . . . WOW!!!

Bye Kevin who took the place over a year ago is now history and there is new ownership, since a couple of weeks back. Ordered the Bamboo Shots with Shredded pork for takeout today and when I asked for the green peppers to be added confusion ensured. Kevin used to throw in finely sliced thai peppers for me to make it spicy but today I ended up with red and green peppers. Still was decent dish and the Hot and Sour soup was much improved and really nice. Best of luck to the new owners.

Has Blue Ribbon BBQ gone downhill?

Stopped by today with a groupon and had the 1/2 slab ribs platter, mashed potatoes and baked beans. Sides was very good and the ribs are outstanding, tender, nice smokey flavor and a really nice crust. Haven't had the baked beans for a long time and had forgotten how good they are.

Having had lunch here since they were in the original location I went today and it's still very good and they do serve lunch 7 days a week for a very reasonable price. The Chicken Saagwala was really good, ordered medium hot it come out bordering on being on the hot side but that's fine with me. Nice service as usual.

I haven't been to the Billerica location for a while since I really hate Rte 3A but took Rte 3 and then just cut across. Had the Spare Ribs Noodle Soup and it's excellent. Another outstanding meal here.
Looking at my fellow lunchers dishes it looks to me that the rice portion has increased and the meat serving have shrunk somewhat.

Had a very nice lunch there today. Lamb Rogan Josh was tasty and the place is sparkling and with a window table today is was really enjoyable.

Mulan in Waltham, replacing Beijing Star

This is a favorite of mine and I have lunch here almost every Friday, today was no exception. Fish Fillet with Spicy Bean sauce was today's choice for me and about 5 other tables around me. Does anybody know where the Spicy Bean in the name comes from? Suspect something got lost in the translation since there really isn't a bean to be found anywhere.

Tried the Biang biang mian today and took off 3/4 of the minced garlic that was on top and it was still garlicky enough for me, otherwise I thought it was excellent, but I have never had this dish before... The flatbread with pork didn't really do it for me. Not to excited about the bread or the pork filling. The “Xian Chilled Noodles” are only available on the weekend.

justbeingpolite, thank you for the post! Went there today for lunch and the MPT was excellent! Same location as a previous Chinese restaurant that got 1 visit from me. This place just opened 3 months ago and was really busy at lunch. The rest of the menu looked excellent so I asked the manager (Owner?) where the chef had worked before and I wasn't really surprised when she said Top Garden in Tewksbury Yeahh! The missing chef is found! Address is 7 summer St in Chelmsford. Lunch special Sichuan Duck takeout for tonight.

Lunch buffet at Diva Indian Bistro in Somerville today. Top, Potato Fries, Tandoori Chicken and I like some of the onions that they are served on, Spicy Eggplant with Roasted Potatoes, Spinach with Chickpeas. Part of a Papadum can also be seen. Second helping was Eggplant and Spinach, The Eggplant dish was VERY good. They also offer a choice of Garlic Nan or normal. In addition there was a freshly made potato patty with condiments delivered to the table. $6 with a Groupon Now plus parking and tip. Even at full price ($8.99) this would be a pretty good value for the money I hate paying for parking! Do you tip at a buffet? I do tip, think you should.

Vegetarian lunch at Udupi Bhavan today for the lunch buffet, basically a Thali on steroids, where you select only the good stuff plus you also get a Dosa normal or spicy (Top left) and Poori bread. Soup up top, gone then I had Dhal, spicy lentils, Spinach and Chickpeas, very good and a tomato based dish with Nuts and Tofu, mild but very tasty. Rice is a vegetarian Buruani. For all your vegetarians out there they do an all you can eat Dosa on Wednesday nights. Oh and there was Samosa's and Pakora's for appetizer.
Best way to get there at lunch time is to take rte 4 at the rotary to 3A and then cut across to Middlesex St.
