Places to eat in Sebring, Avon Park or Lake Placid Hitting Highlands County for the weekend and looking for a couple of lunch places, preferably Mexican and Southern/Barbecue and one nice dinner place. Anyone been to the Sebring Diner or at the other end of the spectrum the restaurant at Chateau Elan? I know the area isn't known for its food but I'm sure there is something there worth discovering. Thanks in advance. |

One shot for anniversary dinner downtown This is an amazing board and I am nearly overwhelmed by the info I've gained here. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary in San Francisco. It's our first big trip without the kids and a very big deal as my husband was born here and hasn't been for 20 years. I am looking for a restaurant with a romantic atmosphere, walking distance from Union Square (20-30 minutes) that serves a great steak, filet, and won't set us back more than $100 w/o wine It can be Italian, French, Latin, Brazilian, whatever. We just want a place we can linger that isn't really loud and I want him to remember this meal. Thanks so much for giving me a week's worth of fantastic recommendations for our trip! |

Thai or Vietnamese Lunch Back Bay or Downtown Thanks to all. Based on your recommendations and location, Bangkok Blue sounds perfect for us. |

I grew up eating from the Hingham Lobster Pound and aside from a bad lobster we got from there once, love it but isn't it still just take-out? No place to relax with friends and eat dinner |

Thai or Vietnamese Lunch Back Bay or Downtown I am a former Bostonian back for a quick visit. My daughters and I are looking for a Thai or Vietnamese place, preferably with a bit of atmosphere somewhere between Park Street and Copley Square give or take a block. We'll be there for lunch on a weekday. Thanks. |

I agree on La Dalat, We had a great meal there last summer, and that Schooners is a great place for fried food, just not crazy about the atmosphere |
