Brooklyn, Sheepshead Bay, Bay Ridge Dinner inexpensive and good Please Help!

In the Bay Ridge area I would recommend Longbow Pub. Simple menu with great food, a wide selection of beer both on tap and in bottles and a relaxed casual atmosphere. I think they do reservations for larger parties but I'd call and confirm. Hope this helps!

A nice beer in Bay Ridge?

Check out the Longbow on 3rd Ave between 74 and 73 sts. They have 12 taps and something like 25 bottle beers. The beer on tap changes regularly but you should find Fuller's, Old Speckled Hen and Kronenbourg all the time.

Recommendation for lunch - Hell's Kitchen

It's been a while since I've been in the area - looking for a good place to have lunch in Hell's Kitchen with a friend I haven't seen for a while. Need a casual place with good food that won't rush us - we're in no hurry.

Huy Fong sriracha sauce in Bay Ridge

Anyone know of a supermarket in Bay Ridge that has Huy Fong sriracha sauce? I don't know why I'm having such a problem finding it except that we're so close to Sunset Park that no one bothers to stock Asian sauces other than duck sauce.

Tried Associated and Food City ... any other ideas?

Best lunch in Midtown with visiting family?

My aunts are coming to town and want to do lunch in Midtown. They are in their 60's and not very adventurous when it comes to restaurants. In the past I've accommodated them but I can't bear another crappy irish pub lunch. I got them to go to Beacon once and that seemed to make everyone happy.

Pls help me - I need a restaurant safe enough for them to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves but where I can have a decent lunch as well.

Caerphilly and other Welsh/UK Cheeses

Yes, unfortunately they only have English cheeses, and I need at least a few welsh ones.

Caerphilly and other Welsh/UK Cheeses

Anyone know where I can get Caerphilly cheese (other than Murray's)? I'm looking to put together a gift basked for a friend so I'm on a tight deadline (obviously).

TIA for your help.

Butcher in Bay Ridge

I've been going to Frank and Eddie's on 75th street for years. The meat is fresh and if you don't see what you want, just ask - if they've got it in the back, they'll cut a piece for you right then and there.

I always thought the fish place on 3rd was over-priced and not very good - still going all the way to fairway for fish.

I tried that place on 5th between 80th and 81st and was not thrilled - the guy cutting my fish cut a piece a good 1/4 of a pound more than I asked for and then got pissy when I told him I didn't want the extra - at $20/lb, that's a pretty pricey mistake for me to have to pay for.

Bay Ridge Chip Shop - good and bad

Is it me or do they seem to be having major problems at the Bay Ridge Chip Shop. One day we get food from there and it's great. The next time we have food delivered and it's a congealed mess of badly fried chips and shrimp that have not been deveined.

Maybe expansion has come at the cost of consistent good quality food.

Am I the only one who thinks this?
