Drive from Los Angeles to Tucson
I made the drive yesterday, took the 60 out of LA, had a fine breakfast at the splendid Mission Inn in Riverside, and a great late lunch at Los Casitos Dos in Blythe.
Best Brussels Chocolate shop?
If you area in the area of St Catherine, check out Frederic Blondeel -- not as fancy (or expensive) as Marcolini but I think the chocolates are even better -- and you can have an excellent hot chocolate at a table in the store. I'm in Brussels now trying (without success) to find freshly roasted coffee beans.

For chocolate, last year I did the rounds of all the usual suspects and did a tasting at home. Second place: Pierre Marcolini (Sablon). First place: Frederic Blondeel (St Catherine). Blondeel not as fancy as Marcolini but better tasting and cheaper -- plus you can get hot chocolate in the shop.
Chocolate in Brussels
Coming in under the radar is Frederic Blondeel Chocolatier. Not as fancy as Marcolini, but the chocolates are (hard to believe) even more delicious. A small shop near St Catherine, absolutely delightful hot chocolate on the premises.
