Best Sweet and Savory crepes in SF?
Ate at Ti Couz last night. Very good, as usual. The white bean soup, while tasty, was a tad thin. Had two different crepes and totally enjoyed both. Definitely better than any of the above mentioned places for crepes.
Italian Dinner in San Francisco, Ristorante Milano or Ideale?
I go to both places, but I prefer Milano. I like the size of the place, the service and the food. Ideale is a little stilted. The gnocchi at Milano are outta sight. Light and fluffy AND from potato. I don't know how they do it. Salads and soups are excellent, too.
Staying in Emeryville--where to have dinner?
Riva Cucina is an excellent little Italian spot just one block north of Ashby, off Sixth St.
By the way, Daimo is more than five minutes from Emeryville. Traffic or no traffic.
La Mar Cebicheria Peruana -- coming to the Embarcadero?
I walk/run by the location almost daily. There will be a great outdoor area, but there is NO WAY they open in August. I would be shocked if they can do it by the end of September.
Butter Cream Bakery – A real deal old school classic diner in Napa
Their Dutch Crunch bread is the best by far. I order it sliced and proceed to eat the entire loaf, usually b4 I get to the first wine tasting.
Ten hardy big guy eaters
I hate to do this, but I have been breaking my brain to come up with just the right place for ten mostly big guys to eat in the NB/Fisherman's Wharf area for dinner. I have thought about the Washbag, Moose's, Bix, Ideale and Rose Pistola, but have not been overly impressed with any of them. These boys will be looking for good food and ample portions. HELP!!! I need to make reservations soon. The boys will be coming from various US locations (Chicago, NY, Seattle, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Raliegh, N.C).
Best Beer Battered Fish and Chips in San Francisco
Edinburgh (sp) has never had a kitchen. You get the F&C from The Old Chelsea on Larkin and bring it into the bar. The Old Chelsea has probably the greasiest F&C around and only works if that's what you are in the mood for at that moment.

RL: Have you had DiFara's in Brooklyn? Screw Arinell. Right around the corner from it in Berkeley is Pie in the Sky on Center. Heads above Arinell.

Please, don't send them to Tommy's Joint (what you called original joe's). Just the smell in there kills me. Okay, go there to drink, MAYBE, but don't eat there. YUCK>
rwo (and anyone else) tell me more about Odd Lots on San Pablo
Odd Lots is on San Pablo near Marin (on the south side), next to Christopher's Nothing Fancy. They have odd hours too. I have been in there twice, but have tried to go about eight times. Sometimes out to lunch, sometimes they close early, etc. Mostly French, Italian and German wines.
Point Reyes & area
I believe you are talking about Tony's in Marshall. They have all types of seafood, but are known for their bbq oysters. Actually, Rancho Nicasio has bbq oysters and many other items on their menu, but you are thinking about Tony's.
