Nations Giant Hamburgers Best REAL chicken breast sandwich $4.35 & under They just opened a brand new Nations Giant Hamburger in our town and they now have the nutritional value of every item listed on the menu board for all to see, even though for some strange reason they don't list this information on their website. Nations is still the best burger "joint" around for my money. They use real, fresh ingredients and cook everything to order. You may have to wait a bit for your food but it's well worth it. I don't really eat cheeseburgers anymore but every once in a great while I just have to have a Nations cheeseburger with all the trimmings...except the salad dressing, as they call it. It tastes like Miracle Whip to me, which I just can't stomach, but their burgers are so good, you can almost eat them dry...well, a little ketchup and mustard or some BBQ sauce doesn't hurt! The grilled chicken sanwiches and wild salmon burger are really delicious too. Haven't tried the veggie burger yet but may do that next time. If you have a Nations anywhere near you, give it a try...well worth it! |

Donut madness: Bob's, Rolling Pin, Donut Wheel Sounds like you did your homework! Just to get my 2 cents in...the best donut for my money is found at a neighborhood bakery in the coastal town of Pacifica called Mazzett's Bakery. I LOVE their chocolate glazed raised donuts and the reason for this love affair is that Mazzett's is the only place I've found that sugar glazes their donuts first and then chocolate dips them...let me tell you, this is HEAVEN! They also use a very high quality chocolate and plenty of it...not that thin, flavorless chocolate glaze that a lot of donuts shop use. There is nothing better than a almost warm...I don't like hot or warm donuts, but I do like them very fresh...chocolate glazed donut and a cup of their delicious coffee in the a.m...they make them fresh every day and it is well worth the drive out to Pacifica to sink your teeth into these light, fluffy, chocolatey sweet treats! |
