Good kid-friendly restaurants in Frederick and/or Cumberland?
Lunchbox is Bryan Voltaggio's casual panini place on the canal in Frederick. They have some larger tables but they don't take reservations (and I don't think they serve alcohol).
Rogue 24 in DC - Report
It's interesting that desserts were a highlight for you, because they were not for our visit (last year). I remember one dessert was described as the chef's attempt to capture the flavor of bubble bath. The effort was successful, and somewhat interesting, but honestly I'm not sure why the chef thought it was a good idea to finish the meal with a dessert that tasted like soap.
Rogue 24 in DC - Report
I might be in the minority, but I didn't find our meal to be a home run. It was worth trying and enjoyable, but I would describe it more as interesting and sometimes delicious than blow-you-away outstanding.
Birthday Cake near Dupont Circle
I was going to suggest Firehook too. The lemon raspberry cake is very nice (although it could use a few more raspberries).
Cafe Saint-Ex: cooking with cereal
Reminds me of this article on "haute stoner cuisine."

Where to get pre-made or takeout food for daytime party?
Trader Joes also has a bunch of decent frozen app type things.
DC Metro Center Lunch
Le Pain Quotidien is a decent option for lunch-- over around 7th and G I think?
Is there a less well known restaurant with available reservation for 2 in DC this Saturday??
I've heard Elisir is good but haven't tried it yet.
Italian near Rouge Hotel?
Tosca isn't nearby, but isn't that far, and if you are willing to eat on the early side (pre-theater menu) it's not crazy expensive.
Haven Pizza Bethesda
That's funny because we got 2 larges to go and were laughing about how badly they were cut-- each pizza had slices that were rectangles! I'm not even sure how you do that.
I like the pizza a lot but I do feel like it sometimes teeters right on the edge of being a little too doughy. I also feel like they could use another salad or something on the menu.
Olive bars in DC?
I couldn't remember the name, but a search for "bethesda olive oil bar" revealed that it is Secolari--

Olive bars in DC?
Sorry this isn't the same thing, but there is an olive oil bar in Bethesda, a couple doors down from Jaleo (Jaleo, btw, serves some pretty good olives).
Three dinners in Bethesda
For breakfast in downtown Bethesda (not especially near that Marriott but closer than Parkway Deli) I'd say there is--
Tastee Diner (which is a good place if you like diners)
Original Pancake House
Le Pain Quotidien
Couple of places coming in next few months Montgomery Cty
It's not the same Majestic as in Alexandria (although the fact that everyone asks makes you wonder if at some point they will have to change their name). It's in the old Gaffney's space, next to the farmers market on Wisconsin ave. (and also next door to Haven).

DC recs for one stellar meal?
I wouldn't bother trying to get minibar (although maybe you will get lucky) but if you can get Komi I would definitely go.
Three dinners in Bethesda
I think this is a good list, but I might add Jaleo, particularly given your request for a "fun atmosphere in the heart of Bethesda shopping/dining".
Couple of places coming in next few months Montgomery Cty
Also I think there is some BBQ place opening in Bethesda?
In the category of recently opened in Bethesda are the Majestic (gastropub) and Haven (pizza). I hear good things about Pizza CS in Rockville too, but I guess that opened several months ago.
Late dinner near Mandarin oriental
That's a tough location. I think your best bet would be to eat at the bar at City Zen (or in the restaurant itself), but I believe they only serve til 9:30 (and admittedly it's in the hotel).
DC-area source for gueuze
I think I saw it at the new beer store in Bethesda, next door to Moby Dicks (not cheap of course).
Exquisite and Exciting Meal in Washington, DC - Restaurant Nora or Fiola?
Agree on Nora (except I might emphasize the "at least"). Corduroy (and the obligatory Rasika recc.) might also be worth considering.
Where to take mama...demands quiet, tablecloths, good food and tolerant servers, prefers Dupont Circle or Behesda
I haven't been to Persimmon in a while but it sounds as though it would be a good choice. Grapeseed might be ok too, but maybe a little louder?
I need an idea for dinner out in Mont Cty
I hesitate to take contribute to taking this further off-topic but I think Newton's Table is more expensive than either Addies or Dino.
I need an idea for dinner out in Mont Cty
If you don't think Jaleo is a good value, then I would bet you would find Mussel Bar to be highway robbery.
I like Guardado's, but I've only gotten tapas there (which happily enough for me include pupusas)-- not sure how they do restaurant week.
I need an idea for dinner out in Mont Cty
I get frustrated with MoCo too, but here are some random suggestions (some of which stretch the bounds of "innovative" "MoCo" or "casual")--
Addies
Dino
Blue 44
8407 (haven't tried it)
Jackies (tried it and wasn't impressed)
Grapeseed (or Persimmon, but I like Grapeseed better)
Jaleo (or Guardado's, which is often better)
Washington DC, Romantic Dinner for under 100!?! Please Help!
Tosca has a pre-theater menu which is 3 courses for $38. I think that's a great option because they may be the best Italian restaurant in DC. The downsides are that it's not all that convenient to the Kennedy Center and I wouldn't really call the room romantic (at best you might call it quietly elegant, but I'd be more likely to say boringly understated).
Good Bread Pudding in NW DC up to Bethesda area for sick child?
I think I've seen bread pudding at Tout de Sweet in Bethesda (I haven't tried it but generally I think their stuff is fantastic). It would be worth a call (and they are small/nice enough that if they don't have it on hand, it might even be worth asking if they would make it for you).
