The Bird's Profile
Sunday Birthday Dinner
I am a serious foodie, who has only lived in Chicago for a couple months, looking for a place to celebrate my birthday on a Sunday. I am a huge fan of meat, beef carpaccio being my favorite food. The group attending are all adventurous eaters. Graham Elliot was our first choice, but they are closed on Sundays. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dinner on Sunday

Green Goddess is the new Chris Debarr restaurant located in a romantic alley setting in the quarter. The menu is creative and every dish I have tried was absolutely amazing.

Martinique is a Sunday go to as well.
Mexican Coca-Cola
Where can I buy Mexican Coca-Cola by case? Sam's doesn't sell it anymore, and it really is better.
Ipanema
Staying in Ipanema, looking for good restaurants. I am interested in restaurants of all types and prices as long as the food is amazing.
celebrating friends engagement during Jazz fest
Check out Clancy's. There is not much on the internet about them, but it is a wonderful restaurant that does New Orleans well.
Ok, gimme the lowdown on EAT
I usually take Champagne and they are more than willing to supply the OJ. I really like this place. Last time I had a spinach and goat cheese omelet that was delicious.
Valentine's Day
I am not concerned with it being on the actual day. We can plan around the parades I am just looking for date options for a foodie.
Restaurant Ideas for Daughter's 21st Birthday on Saturday night and Sunday Brunch for 8 Fam & Friends
Jacques-Imos is a great meal where you can enjoy being old enough to drink their cocktails. Did Lilette for last years birthday and they really made it a special night, although their brunch could be an option too.
Valentine's Day
Any good recomendations for a Valentine's Day dinner date, on or around V-Day? Any price range, any area, but the food needs to be outstanding.
Skirt Steak
I saw one at the Cochon Butcher yesterday. I don't know if it is something they carry all the time or not, but either way it is there right now.
What city should I go to for a culinary vacation?
New Orleans has so much to offer in the culinary world.
Hookah Cafe- another good experience there
I love the food at Hookah Cafe. They are open on Sunday which is always a much harder day to find a good dinner.
Long Weekend Culinary Plan
4 out-of-towners visiting for a long weekend. 1 splurge dinner, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, and 2 breakfasts. 1 local plus 4 tourists, any suggestions?
Cochon Butcher
Donald Link is set to open the Cochon Butcher located behind Cochon on Andrew Higgins Dr. As with most restaurant openings, dates are slightly tentative, but they are expecting to open their doors between January 15 and 19. Anyone else have information?

Stanley is finally open!
Just ate at Stanley...finally. I had the Stanley classic, two eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes and toast. It was great, although the couple dining with Scott Boswell's mother were both enjoying the burger. That's what I will have next time, if anyone has an insider track it's his mother.
Sunday Restuarant
Besh Steakhouse, Brennan's, Commander's, Emeril's most locations, Gumbo Shop, Herbsaint, La Crepe Nanou, La Provence, Luke, Marigny Brasserie, Mila, Port of Call, Rock n Sake, Snug Harbor, Upperline, Vega Tapas, Vincent's
Bee Sweet Cupcakes
I tried their red velvet cake cupcake today. It was so moist to make for a very good cupcake.
Lunch Uptown
It is not an area that I am interested in per se, just something new. I frequent all the places mentioned above so I am just looking for a way to spice it up. Maybe even something amazing yet offbeat.
Lunch Uptown
I am interested in any suggetions for lunch Uptown. Casual, fancy, expensive and not. I'm also interested in take out options.
Stanley's Is it open?
Boswell said it was going to open by Sept. Looked in November 1st and it looked more deserted compared to the work going on a few months ago. Is it still going to open?
