We went there last night based on the great reviews here. All I can say is what hospitality!!! Beverly and her husband are incredible hosts.
We had a dinner fit fo a king. I had jerk shrimp with mac n' cheese, peas and rice with plantains. My husband had the chicken curry.
They also brought out their incredible conch fritters, the best we have ever had.
Don't forget their home made lemonade and the guava cheesecake.
We will definitely be back for more!!!
Boca -- Need a Nice Restaurant for 14-18 peopl
Opus just changed their menu. We ate there last week and it was very good. They have a 5 app's for the price of 4 which we ordered for the table. They have a nice back area that although it not totally private is perfect for a group.
Boca Raton = Town Center
Opus 5, Morton's, Uncle Tais and Sushi Ray all in Boca Center. Also, Bova on Federal Hwy. Chops Lobster Bar and Lemongrass in Royal Palm Plaza.
Upper end Restaurants with a private room in FLL
Morton's, Ruth Chris, Abe & Louie's, Trulucks and NY Prime off the top of my head. All in Boca.
Old Town Tavern - Boca Raton
We have been there several times too and all visits but one were just ok. Prices are high considering the quality. Totally agree that the place has no atmosphere at all. Very average.
Won't be surprised if they end up not reopening in the fall.

A new cupcake place opened in West Boca called What a Cupcake! It's on 441 between Glades & Clint Moore on the west side.
I bought six flavors, red velvet, boston creme, keylime/coconut, mounds, fresh strawberry and vanilla. I took a bit out of each of them, lol. They are sooo moist and delish. My favorite was the keylime one.

They were out of the Goldens but I had some amazing Dungeness. Lot's of meat. The Key Lime Pie was very good too last night. My husband had the soft shell's and really enjoyed them as well.
Good Greek food to try in Pompano
I guess since we have been going for years I am comparing it to the old way it was, it was noticeably different. The saganacki wasn't nearly as delicious and they did away with the family style dinner that had lobster tails, shrimps and clams that was TDF. The shrimps were smaller and not as fresh.
Glad you had a great meal, they have always been very nice there.

Do youself a favor and skip Mykonos. We live right down the street and used to dine there several times a month for years. The last few times we went they changed the menu, went to a fixed price menu and the food quality is terrible!!! Completely different and nothing we ordered was fresh tasting. What a disappointment as they used to have good food.

Ditto on Rustic Inn. We are heading there tonight for the Golden's!! Can't wait. Dip them in some Old Bay Seasoning.
Special Birthday Restaurant - Ft. Lauderdale to Delray Beach
In Boca there is Opus 5, Bova, Casa D'Angelo, Chops Lobster Bar and Truluck's which all offer fish and are very pretty inside. They are all on the pricey side. I know some people have had marginal meals at Chops but we have been lucky and have enjoyed our visits there. The fried lobster tails and creamed corn are delish.

Cupcakes in Fort Lauderdale - Boca Raton?
I live in Boca and oh how I wish we had a cupcake cafe!!!
Bluefish, Delray Beach
We also had a bad experience at Bluefish. It was terrible and almost inedible.
Our favorite place by far is Japango in Parkland. Have never had a bad meal and the menu is fabulous. The Toro can't be beat.

Coming in late but we love Matteo's. They have a great chopped salad and a special dish not on the menu called burnt broccoli. Delish!

calories of bubbles in bubble tea?
