Excellent Pizza in OC?
In San Clemente there's Pizza Port. Good pizza and they brew their own beer. Yum!

Good Value Lacking in North San Diego County
In Solana Beach T's Cafe (near PIzza Port) is good and economical. Also Luecadia in Encinitas.

TOTALLY WORTH IT!! However since it was featured on FoodTV's "Diner, Drive-in, and Dives" I hear it's over crowded.

Pancakes & Waffles in Sacramento
I am a Sacto native and was hesitant for many years to try Pancake Circus. However, when I came home for xmas last year my parents took me there on the way home from the airport... and it was great!! Not as refined as Cafe Bernardo, and the decor resembles a Denny's, but the breakfast's are really good.!
