Best of Dallas

Another great place very close to Farmers Branch is Thiarrific. It is just behind the Cinemark movie theater in the shopping strip on the corner of Webb Chapel and Forest. It is really good Thia food, I especially recommend there cold dishes.

Bolsa [Dallas]

We went just for drinks a couple of weeks ago and I loved the black and blue mojito. Reading the food reviews makes me want to go really soon for dinner. Thanks!
I have also heard that they will be featuring local music out on the patio(weather permitting) a couple days a week.

Pierogi? [DFW]

European Market and Deli in the Forest and 75 shopping center has good frozen pierogi. They carry a brand that is from Chicago. You can also eat there so you can try the pierogi before you buy. They also have a ton of great Polish condiments and candy. It is as close to eating true Polish food that I can find in Dallas.

[DFW] Best Salads at restaurants[DFW]

I really like the salads at Dream Cafe in uptown. They are always very fresh and there cilantro lime vinaigrette is amazing. Hands down one of the best dressings I have ever had at a restaurant, I also really like cilantro. http://thedreamcafe.com/

Moving to Richardson/Dallas area, looking for good, local food

Another great website to look up restaurants in the DFW area (besides chowhound) is http://www.guidelive.com
You can break up your search of restaurants by location, type, price, and amount of stars. Usually anything with 3 stars or more is worth checking out.

Looking for Sushi, Tapas,& Brunch in Dallas

Wow I must have been there right before they closed. Cause I was there about 3 months ago. Don't remember the exact date but it was warm outside and it was at night so maybe April or March. Too bad, they were always busy when I went. But Dallas restaurants change so fast it will make your head spin. Thanks for the heads up, my husband will be really disappointed their crème brulee was his favorite.

Looking for Sushi, Tapas,& Brunch in Dallas

I feel that Cafe Madrid is over-rated for what you get for the price of food. I feel you get a lot more for your money at Hola, and yes they are are still open and going strong. Another place that is great for a date night is Sangria Tapas: http://www.sangriatapasybar.com/ They have really good lamb carpaccio.
I also agree that Teppo is where it is at for the best sushi in Dallas, they are pricey though. If you want good sushi and not break the bank Oishii on Wycliff is good. I have even seen Chef Casey in there from time to time.

DFW- Late night dessert spots?

Bread winners has great desserts, at any of there locations. Every cake or pastry I have had there has been good. They are open till 11 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10 pm all other days. I like the McKinney Ave location because it is next to the Quarter which is great for a drink after your dessert. An extra bonus with dessert is that they serve Illy coffee.

Greasy Spoon - Dallas/Ft. Worth

When I think greasy and old in Dallas I immediately think of Keller's:
Keller's Drive-In
6537 E. Northwest Highway
214-368-1209
One of the last pure drive-ins left, Keller's Hamburgers has been serving burgers since 1965.
Hamburgers are served with a slice of onion, a slice of a special "Keller" tomato, pickles and mustard. And it is authentic, you can even get a sixer to drink in your car will you eat your burger.
