I ate at Texas Monthly’s Top 5 BBQ Pits in One Weekend.

It took me just over a month to complete what you did in 1 day, but I agree with your overall assessment. Luling City Market is the best overall of the bunch. The ribs are cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, but you don't run the risk of getting bone marrow in your bite. I found Kreuz's disturbing for that reason. The brisket is supberb and the sausage is good. After trying them all, when I want BBQ and I am going to drive 45 minutes, why not just make it an hour and go to Luling. Plus, even though sauce shouldn't be a factor, the BBQ sauce at luling was far superior to the others.

Best downtown views restaurant?

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I had heard about the restaurant in the Hancock building. We are really looking forward to the trip.

Best downtown views restaurant?

My boyfriend and I are coming to Chicago and I was wondering if there are any good restaurants (quasi romantic) that have nice views of the downtown skyline? Rooftop restaurants etc? Many thanks!

Best Tres Leches cake in Austin

I wonder if the Chuy's 183 Tres Leches is the same as Hula Hut's. It is so good, and I think better than Habana's. It doesn't have a whipped topping, but has whipped cream on the side, and is drizzled with caramel. Moist throughout, and a large enough portion to have two servings, one then, and one later.

Quick Eats Near Convention Center?

I offer up Habana and Dona Emilias for Cuban and South American food options. Awesome Mojitos at both spots.

Mayan Cuisine

I figured it was gone. I live near there and can't ever remember seeing it. Thanks for the other suggestions.

roast beef sandwiches?

I second the French dip at Houstons. Way overpriced, but definitely yummy. I have them add cheese. I love roast beef sandwiches, and must say that the roast beef they user at Jersey Mike's is always pink and perfect.

Mayan Cuisine

I have done some research on this site regarding cochinita pibil, and have seen Sabor recommend quite a bit. However, the posts are from 3-4 years ago. Does someone know if Sabor is still open on North Lamar? Thanks!
