Looking for italian ice's in Westchester, sold in large portions.

Good call Mr. Cheese Boy! I happen to live less than 2 miles from the Scarsdale store and from the website they have some incredible flavors. Thanks.

Sat Lunch in White Plains

I have eaten at Niko's probably 10 times and had 10 positive experiences. The place is consistently good in all aspects- food, service and value. Are they creating culinary masterpieces- of course not. There is not many quality restaurants in Westchester and this place is near the top in what they deliver. I understand that everyone fancies him/herself a critic, which is fine as we are all welcome to our opinion.

One of my most favorite restaurants in Westchester is very near the county Center in WP. Miko's is a small Greek restaurant that has great food, nice service and is inexpensive. Its on Central Avenue about 1/4 mile south of the County Center. Even if Greek is not your thing give it a try.

Least Favorite restaurant in Westchester?

Spiga is just consistently poor. They do 2-3 dishes well and forget the rest of the menu- The pasta with Broccoli rabe and sausage, tri-colori salad and eggplant rollatini are all good. Everything else is incredibly bad. They also own Casa Maya- also very suspect.

Least Favorite restaurant in Westchester?

I agree- Global Gatherings- is it a restaurant or a furniture store? An example of why you can't try to be all things to all people.

Waterfront Grille/Euro Asian in Port Chester?

Never mind restaurants in Port Chester- is there a local newspaper? Can't seem to get a clear answer on this question.

Least Favorite restaurant in Westchester?

In the land of mediocre food, who takes the cake as the worst well known restaurant? My nomination goes to Spiga- the restaurant I love to hate.

Best Diners in Westchester

Try the Fountain Diner but keep it simple. When in diners it is either basic breakfast items or burgers.

Has anyone tried Sammy's Uptown in Bronxville?

Ate there in March - food was very good, as was the service. The decor and lighting is elegant. Priced fairly. I would return without question.

Smile...you're on camera in our dining room!

Seems inappropriate to me. Yes you should be informed that you are being taped- you never know where that tape can wind up. You may be having a sensitive business meal, job interview, etc.

If you are looking for value, the TastingsNYC event at Pier94, 11/7-9, is only $100 and includes chef demo's, wine tasting, restaurant tastings, a pan asian pavilion, plus several other specialty pavilions. The ticket also provides access to the International Chocolate Show. Website is tastingsnewyorkcity.com.
