Horseradish question

It's very hit or miss. Really depends on the year's crop. But you should always hand grate, cover it with plastic and prepare it as close to Yom Tov as possible.

Is there a fix for my chicken soup - it tastes sour

Did you put it in the fridge before it cooled down? Some claim that putting in to soon into the fridge can cause the soup to sour.

I think Jezebel initially tried that, but Rabbi Melhman stopped, claiming it wasn't working or something.

Kraft polly-o string cheese

The blocks of mozzarella are readily available, though they still have the KD on it. An inside source though tells me that everything made at the Polly-O factory in Cambell, NY is under the OU. Look for plant #36-8071 on the packaging.

It is my understanding that all of Polly-O's string cheese is manufactured at that one factory in Campbell, NY.

Or they have a large surplus of old packaging to work with. My father-in-law spent a shabbos at one of the mashgichim of the Polly-O factory near Rochester. He was told that everything that comes out of that factory is under the OU, even if the label hasn't been updated yet.

Sad to hear about Kosh. Really did enjoy the few times I was there.

Navaratna is fantastic - highly recommended.

Pizza in Waterbury is disgusting.

Shuman's Deli in Bloomfield is alright, but the place is hardly ever open.

Claire's is alright, but eh.
