BEST PLATE IN NORTH CAROLINA

The Sweet Potatoes "Hot Brown" at Sweet Potato in Winston-Salem. This dish says "fukk yea!"

Durham NC restaurant recommends?

I cast my vote AGAINST Revolution. The service is deplorable, the food is hit or miss and the ambience is decidedly generic. There's no need to brave all the "nuances" of downtown Durham just to eat at this place for the experience that you get in return. I'd rather go to Watts, Mag Grill, or Pop's than Revolution any day.

Best of RDU

My critique of this critique:
J. Betski's is awesome. It is the best resto in the Triangle.
Rue Cler is limited and, I would say overrated, but no one rates this place. It should be forgotten.
Wine Authorities is NOT the best wine shop in the Triangle. It is pretentious and even a little "douchey." There is nothing admirable about this place. Please try Hope Valley Bottle Shop for a better, updated wine shop in Durham. Avoid Wine Authorities at all costs. My last trip in there was in January, and I'm still trying to wash it off of me.
The Federal is the best lunch in the state of North Carolina.

PIZZA! In Chapel Hill or Durham

Rudino's Pizza and Grinders in the Northgate area of Durham is the best IMO

Ethiopian in Triangle, NC

Are there any good Ethiopian places in the Triangle? Are there some quality ones that I shouldn't be afraid to order dishes like kitfo?

What bourbon are you drinking these days?

right now i'm digging the sam houston's kentucky bourbon. killer stuff, made by the same folks who make jefferson's.

"Unsung" restaurants in Durham, NC

I ate at Tonali today based on this (old) post. They have THE BEST Chile Relleno in the Triangle. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
