Sourdough - where to find the real thing in LA?

I vote for Wheatland Baking, Inc.'s sourdough at Fish King, too. That, along with Dungeness crab and a container of Toto's tartar sauce, is the perfect ticket.

Please assess our itinerary (Oregon, Washington) with alacrity

I guess the peanut butter cream pie at Mo's in Newport is probably long gone... What a fine memory that one is.

Olympic National Park

I love Chowhound so much! We are taking a long-awaited vacation to the Olympic peninsula this weekend and reading the posts here is helping us feel prepared for the dining options ahead. The personal reflections and unique details that people share here are quite wonderful. Thank you to all who have posted here. I will report back on our adventure when we return.

Anacortes WA/Friday Harbor/area - grub suggestions?

Another tav across the street but up a few blocks or so is the Rockfish Grill. Very tasty burgers and lots of good beers.

Anacortes WA/Friday Harbor/area - grub suggestions?

We always have breakfast at the Calico Cupboard on the main drag in Anacortes when visiting relatives. Why a restaurant that serves whole grain baked goods and all-around excellent breakfast food can't seem to exist in Glendale is beyond me. There's another one in La Conner that is also reliably delicious (and a third but I don't remember where it is).
