Search for the Elusive Fried Clam, Part 4 - Found it!

Sonny McLean's on Wilshire and 26th in Santa Monica has them, bellies and all. I'm not an expert on fried clams, but they taste pretty good to me.

Best Thin Pancakes in Los Angeles

Try Pie N' Burger's! It's the only thing I order from them these days, I'm never there for lunch. Breakfast until 1 p.m. on Sundays, 11 a.m. on Saturdays.

old-school. late night. kouraku ramen in little tokyo (review)

Haha, that's the only thing I ever get there these days! Gravy on the side, too.

I love watching them make the fried rice. Artists at work!

Rick's Burgers in Pasadena

Has anyone been to Rick's lately? Is it still open, and if not does anyone know when they are closing and whether they are reopening elsewhere?

I'm going to miss the spuderito if they close and don't reopen.

Tacos in Covina/Baldwin Park

That place is raaaad.

Love Famima!

I pretty much agree. I've always heard that 7-11s are like this in Japan. It's not much different from the convenience food aisles in your average Mitsuwa or Nijiya market.

I'm having Famima from the Promenade now it's pretty tasty. I was tempted to try the spaghetti carbonara but opted to get the ham katsu with egg salad sandwich and a bottled ice tea. I couldn't help but add a pork bun and a cream puff as well. It all came out to exactly $10, a good deal for so many tastes.

(And by the way, hi badly ...)

Lunch options for Santa Monica (26th and Wilshire)

I feel like I've worn out every lunch spot within walking distance of this intersection and I'm tired of driving to Venice or Culver City just for lunch.

What's there to eat that's close to Santa Monica (26th and Wilshire) these days? Cheap is best of course but I'm wide open.
