Seafood Markets in St. Pete??
They do and I get their emails whenever they have a sale. Infact they are having it today and tomorrow from 10-6 10-15 count head on are 5.99lb. When you go sign up for the emails. It is handy :)
Base Camp: The Don (St. Pete Beach)
Great list Joan, and I totally agree on the Frog Pond/Beverly's note. I would just like to add a couple more.
Agave for Mexican it is right down the Street from the Don
Nori Thai for sushi it right next to Vito and Michaels that Joan mentioned, try the kimchee roll it so good.
Have a great time, and there is a guy that drives a glorified golf cart up in down the beach and gives free rides if you have too many margaritas ;)
Favorite unusual toppings for vanilla ice cream?
Captain Crunch with a drizzle of caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt is insanely good.
Gift Baskets- just the basket please

What Foods Do You Forego in the Name o' Domestic Tranquility?
Any kind of of casseroles even mac & cheese. Or really just about anything braised. I love short ribs and pot roast and all that comfort food. So I tend to order things like that when we go out rather than make them at home.
Please help with a bridal shower salad buffet menu & cooking theme
This is really simple but delicious and the color would be nice on your buffet. It is a tomato, basil and brown rice salad.
And I went to one shower where they took the labels off spices and put them on a tray and you had to smell or even taste and see how many you could get right. They did some obvious for those who may not cook much, cinnamon and ginger etc., then some that were more difficult like cardamon and ground sumac.

Key West: Looking for Conch Fritters and Key Lime Pie
I like Hogs Breath Saloon for conch fritters, I know it may be a chain but for the fritters it is great and close to where you get off the ship. I am not a key lime pie afficionado, I like the one from our local grocery store Publix. :) My favorite used to be the restaurant at the Pier House, but haven't been in a while. Have a great time.
seeking recs for in and around Treasure Island, Florida
Waltz Fish Shak in Johns Pass for casual seafood. Five minutes away in town is Alesia with French/Vietnameseincluding baked goods (not a huge selection but good). Gigi's for pizza. Ricky T's for breakfast. Have fun!!!
What do you do with quail eggs?
I love the scotch eggs made with quail eggs you get more sausage to egg ration lol, also similar to your sesame seed one, I saw someone boil them and roll them in zatar. which looked good.
The spot bar and grill. Best comfort food in st Petersburg?
Sounds yum, what is the location??
Are these Disney/Tourist Area restaurants toddler appropriate? Deep Blu, Bluezoo, Tchoup Chop
We took our daughter and did Blue Zoo and Emeril's and they were very nice. Funny thing is we did Rainforest Cafe for her one night and she preferred Emeril's go figure lol. My only reccomendation would be to keep the reservations fairly early like you did and if she has a moment walk out, till she calms down. Have a great time!! I love Disney.
Where can I buy harissa in Orlando?
Williams and Sonoma carries it in Tampa. So you may have luck at the one in Orlando.
Sauce for Meatballs
Does the grandson mind a little spice? Mix equal parts apricot jam and mae ploy (sweet chili sauce). Depending on the meatballs add soy to taste, simple but always a hit.
Turkey "Carnitas" - possible?
What about instead of carnitas you do a turky version of Cochinita Pibil. I get this at the Taco Bus in St. Pete in taco's and a sandwich called a torta. It is so delish and here is a Rick Bayless crockpot version.

Suggestions of late night food with port
I agree with the Stilton but would add ripe pears and toasted walnuts. Very traditional pairing but thats why it so good.
Looking for a cocktail made with blueberry juice
Bellini? or I saw one with limoncello and a splash of soda that sounded good.
Looking for the best seafood at Jacksonville beach with rockshrimp as a must!
What about Dixie Crossroads in Titusville? It looks like it is a straight shot down 95 . They have taste but no atmosphere or view to speak of. Reminds me of a seafood house from the 80's but yummy rock shrimp. lol I just looked at the map and it is a couple of hours sorry.
The Perfect Restaurant List for 5 Nights in Vail Valley????
I know it's old school but I loved Beano's Cabin. The snow cat ride up to the restaurant was so pretty and I had a great meal. It has been a couple years but maybe someone has gone more recently. Have a great trip.
Your all time favorite 'TV' cooking show chefs?
1. Julia
2. Jacque
3. Nigella
4. Ina
5. Martha
Lately I have been liking Chuck's recipes, I have tried a few with great success.
raw fois gras
Last night I sauteed some diced pears in a little butter added pinch of salt and pepper. Let that cook till tender then added a little honey to carmelize and some red vermouth (port would probably be better but I was out :) ) I lightly scored the fois gras and sprinkled with sea salt and cooked them on medium high heat until brown on each side but still still slightly underdone in the center. I then put some bread pieces in the fat and browned them on both sides removed those and put in the pear mixture and put the foi gras on the bread and poured the pears over top sooo good.
Help Me Conjure Up a NYE Punch Featuring Applejack
I would do apple jack and a good dry gingerale. The add some of your ginger syrup and make ice cubes out of cranberry juice and a little of the cordial to float.
Freeze canned condensed milk?
Yes, I did the same thing and froze the other half . Made the same recipe a couple months later and used the defrosted leftovers and it was fine.
Do you have a good, moist gingerbread recipe with a thick batter?
I tried this gingerbread recipe and loved it is moist and spicy I forgo the pears and bake it in a greased bundt pan. Super easy too which is always a bonus. Good luck your recipe sounds intriguing I love almonds, do you glaze it on top?

Food Gift Giving - Other Than Sweets
I know the frozen thing sounds odd but last year I did slice and bake crackers. Wrapped them up and gave them with a bottle of wine and people loved them because it was a quick to fix and jazz up a cheese tray or just to have as a nibble. i did blue cheese walnut and parmesan thyme.

Single item done well? Traveling with kids with food allergies
I think you should go for it. I have friends and relatives with kids with severe allergies. They say the key is not making a big deal out of it. Go where ever you want, order plain food and if all else fails keep a stash of snacks on you that can tide them over if there is an iffy menu. Also I am sure you already know but most chocolate crepes are filled with Nutella. My daughter loves plain chocolate crepes but it always nutella. Have a great time. (If I am over simplifying I'm sorry :) )
What do you believe is the best butter you can get
I live in St. Pete and never think of going down there for a farmers market , thanks for the tip
