Alternative to C.I.A. in Hyde Park?

OK, I know there probably is nothing comparable, but I can't get a reservation for dinner at the Culinary Institute for next weekend. Can anyone recommend a very good restaurant in the Hyde Park, NY area?

Is there anyplace you can recommend for an early dinner anywhere between NYC and the airport in Newark? We usually go through the Holland Tunnel but can detour through the Lincoln. Anything worth considering *at* the airport?

Having to show up many hours early for a flight aspirates!
