Food Network show looking for your favorite outrageous food
In Pittsburgh, there is Primanti Bros, of course. Sandwiches stuffed with meat, cheese, fries and coleslaw. It certainly fits the "big" requirement if nothing else. For unique sweets, Deluca's diner serves pancakes with a ridiculous choice of sweet toppings that range from chocolate chips, to pumpkin, peaches, apples, and peanut butter, all finished off with whipped cream.

foreign groceries in pittsburgh
Does anyone have any idea where I can find British bangers (sausages) and/or Greek taramasalata (caviar spread)? Market District, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods carry neither so I am looking for some smaller grocery stores that might have them. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hidden gems in Robinson/Oakdale area of Pittsburgh?
Thank you for ALL the suggestions. We will slowly but surely make our way through the list!
Hidden gems in Robinson/Oakdale area of Pittsburgh?
We have recently moved from West Virginia to the 'burbs of Pittsburgh, specifically the Oakdale/Robinson area, and were looking for some recommendations on local/independent restaurants in the area (we are so happy to be getting away from the chain restaurant culture of WV) and suggestions for the best grocery shopping. We checked out the new Market District in Robinson last weekend, and were overwhelmed by both prices and crowds, so really don't want to return, at least not until the novelty wears off. Thanks!
