Delray Beach Area.................off Atlantic Ave!

You're right and that's what I'm looking for. I planning on being at the Marriott for several nights and was looking for a spot that I could take a taxi to and from. I think I've had dinner, or at least drinks, at every spot on Atlantic. I'd like to try something different.
I would appreciate any ideas that you have..........say up to 20 minute drive from Atlantic / A1A.

Delray Beach Area.................off Atlantic Ave!

Great ideas!
Do you know anything about the seemingly many Italian places that dot Federal between Delray and Boca? I'm including Il Girasole and several other large, full service looking places. Any recs?

Delray Beach Area.................off Atlantic Ave!

Dear Readers,

I am looking for a good, full-service option off of the Atlantic Ave strip. In favor of a fairly short cab ride from the Marriott, at dinner time, for a high-end meal with drinks. I was considering Il Girasole or 5th Ave Grill, among others. My only issue is that I've done every place on Atlantic (from 32 East on the western end to Luna Rosa at the eastern end) and am really interested to try anything off of the main drag.............

Much appreciated,
JB

K Paul's................Need Help!

My wife and I are in NO next weekend and have made a dinner reservation at K Paul's. I've been to many restaurants (new and old) in the quarter, but have always neglected this one. I would appreciate any advice on a good table for "people watching" and some menu ideas. Additionally, any major reason to avoid this place?

Arc-en-Ciel Gone! [DFW]

No worries. I always preferred Maxim's (for dim sum) anyway. I gave Arc en Ciel several shots and always came away feeling like I should have hit one of the other joints in Richardson / Garland's "chinatown".

BTW, the finest dim sum I've experienced was at the Hong Kong Flower Lounge.......in San Francisco.

Mastro's and La Dolce Vita

WFD,
What are your thoughts on Mozza? I enjoy Batali's restaurants in NYC, but thought that maybe I should give it a pass since I'll only be in LA for a short time, on this trip. I understand that you have the pizza place and the osteria to choose from. Would you include Mozza on a short, foodie trip to LA or just hold-out for tested, locals' joints?

Mastro's and La Dolce Vita

LA Chowhounds,

I will be staying at a fine hotel in Beverly Hills in several weeks and the concierge recommended these two options for high-end steak and upscale "old world"
Italian. I have read up on both places and they seem to be good options (fun atmosphere, great food, potential star spotting). I considered others in these categories: steak (Morton's Ruth's Chris, Cut, The Palm) Italian (Dan Tana's, Madeo).

Please advise if there are better options in the Beverly Hills area that should be considered........

Aquasanta - SF.......Would you recommend?

Thank you for the tip. Honestly, the air conditioning factor is big for me. I can't believe that a place, at this price point, would not run the AC in the summer!

I'll check out 315.

Aquasanta - SF.......Would you recommend?

I travel to Santa Fe regularly and would appreciate some feedback on this place. I have not been, but my wife and I are considering. Their reviews seem to be the best in town. I'm looking for a good value on wine, great service, and fun atmosphere.

Our heavy rotation includes il Piatto, Pranzo, Anasazi restaurant, and La Boca.

Thank you,

Panevino, Ventano's or Ferraro's in Vegas?

Jeff,

Ferraro's is actually a great locals Italian joint. Kind of a glitzy, 80's atmosphere. Panevino is excellent food and atmosphere, but it could easily be in Phoenix or Denver...........no Vegas feeling. Further, for high-end Italian (Off Strip), I would mention Piero's. Reserve a booth in the "A Room" , and you'll really have a fun dining experience.

Good Luck,

Arthur Ave suggestions

Pasquale's Rigoletto and Mario's are two very reliable options for full-service Italian. They are both in the heart of the neighborhood and will give a good taste of the area (you may actually see some locals in these places, as well). I would take a stroll through the Arthur Ave Retail Market for a foodie retail tour and finish with a cannoli from Madonia Brothers bakery.
FYI: It's all right in the same little area, so you won't miss any of these places!
Also, if you're taking a cab, I would recommend the intersection of E 187th Street / Arthur Ave as the place to start your walk up to the restaurants (1 block).

Good Luck,

Delray Beach - Need Good Choices......

I'll be in Delray Beach in 2 weeks and would appreciate some good, high-end options. I am familiar with some of the spots along Atlantic Ave (32 East, Tramonti) and Sundy House and Luna Rosa. I would like to know if there are some other local places that would be good choices for gourmet dinners out.

Please advise.........
