Girl's Night in OC/Southbay
My girlfriends and I are having a Christmas get together and we're looking for a restaurant in the OC or Southbay area. Looking for top notch food but not too fancy environment. Don't get me wrong we want a nice atmosphere but we want to be able to talk amongst ourselves without getting stares that we're being too loud. Thanks!!

Thank you maria lorraine, I think I'm leaning towards Bistro Don Giovanni and I will take your advice and ask for the patio if I go there! I might try one of your other suggestions for lunch since the prices will probably be better.

My b/f took me to Yamashiro's about a year ago and I loved it. The view was gorgeous and our meal was delicious. The service was also great.

Looking for sweeter wines...
I will be visiting Napa at the end of the month with my boyfriend and while I like all types of wine he prefers sweeter wines like Riesling. Can someone please let me know what wineries specialize in sweeter wines and are great for visiting. We also enjoy Pino Grigios as well.

I will be visiting Napa in late October with my boyfriend and I'm looking for a romantic restaurant with great food. Nothing too pricey (no more than $30 a plate) and we love all types of food. I've read the posts and there's just so many options. I've narrowed it down to these and hope you can help me choose:

How's the decor? Is it romantic? I saw a pic of the fire pit wondered what the seating around it was like? Is it a bunch of little tables around the pit or one long table that goes around so your seated next to other people?

My bf's birthday is coming up and I'm looking for a nice Sushi/Asian restaurant to take him. Someplace with fresh fish and nice atmosphere. Nothing crazy expensive like Urasawa. I originally made reservations at Hokusai but from the reviews I've read it's not looking too good. Please help!!
Long Beach area......what restaurants are the must go to?
Went to Vinieria Italiana about a month ago and the food was delicious. The pasta was homemade which is always a plus. I did feel that the prices were a bit steep for the portion size however.

I agree with Benley's, small space but excellent food and friendly staff. I like Bono's in Belmont Shore also. I was at Tracht's in December and was not that impressed with the food.
Must Go To Wineries in/around Napa

Bouchee in LB--Choworthy?
I work nearby and a lot of us go there for lunch. They serve gourmet burgers. The Ahi Tuna burger is delicious and they also serve mini burgers so you can try a few different kind. Another must try is their french fries with homemade ketchup, excellent. The only thing is they're kinda pricey, about $8 or $9 for a burger. I would definitely recommend it though.
