Long Beach Breakfast

The coffee at the newest Potholder Cafe is awful (the Lakewood Bl. location).

Where did all of the Burger King's go in the Southbay area?

There's at least one in Long Beach. It was there yesterday.

BRUNCH/LUNCH FOR SIX in DTLA before a visit to the Natural History Museum

Jacks N Joe is good, but doesn't not fit the OP's noise level requirement. That place is loud.

Eating/parking in Inglewood

We ate at Orleans and York. The sandwiches are enormous. My BFF and I shared a chicken salad sandwich. Nice big pieces of chicken, well seasoned, but way too much mayo. The bread was much better than I expected, a roll with real crunch.

Brother and SIL had a fried oyster sandwich and some kind of various meats thing (don't remember what). They said they were excellent.

Service good and quick. Not many tables and not suitable for large groups who want to eat there. My friend did not want to leave her car there, so there you go...

The concert? It was U2, so it was, like all their shows, outstanding.

Eating/parking in Inglewood

We can eat any time. We will also be driving one of the cars to The Forum; one of us uses a wheelchair.

Eating/parking in Inglewood

Two couples are meeting for dinner before seeing U2 at The Forum this Saturday. Parking at The Forum has gone up to $25 and ideally we would eat someplace they will let us leave one of the cars to be picked up after the concert.

I can't think of anywhere within a 15 min. circle around the venue that would work, but I don't know Inglewood well. Any suggestions?

Where Does Trader Joe's Food Come From?

I would also like to know that. Most of their cookies now have palm oil instead of butter.

Long Beach restaurants for after rehearsal wedding eats

Second the Crooked Duck. The patio is big enough for 20 and they make a very nice free-range burger. I don't know what time the rehearsal is, but they also have breakfast. http://www.thecrookedduck.com/

NAY to how many TJ's products now have palm oil instead of butter or other, healthier oils in them. Most of the cookies that once had butter no longer do.

Dinner options around Terrace Theater/Long Beach Convention Center?

Modica's Italian Deli is very close to the theater, has good sandwiches and is open until 9 p.m. There is street parking.

Dinner options around Terrace Theater/Long Beach Convention Center?

There are lots of choices between Ventura County and Long Beach. Could you narrow it down just a little bit, i.e. would you rather eat closer to the theater or what kind of food you prefer?

Disneyland for 5 days in November - seeking grocery stores and lunch/dinner options

For in-house made tortillas, salsas and marinated, rotisserie chicken, plus reasonably priced fresh produce, try one of the Northgate Markets. The chicken is $2.00 off on Wednesdays. There are several of them in Anaheim and I think they are all close to Disneyland. They also have other prepared Mexican foods and a panadaria. I haven't shopped in the Anaheim stores, but I have been to three Northgate Markets in other areas and they are very similar to each other.

Second the rec for Cortinas.

I haven't met my guest before, so I don't know enough about his eating habits for Lukshon to be a good choice.

Culver City near train

I'm looking for a place walking distance from the Expo line in Culver City, for Saturday night dinner for 6 people, possibly more, no particular cuisine, to entertain a visitor from Texas. He's in town doing research at USC and I imagine he is traveling with jeans and t-shirts.

Long Beach letter grades - what just happened?

Long Beach doesn't, AFAIK, issue letter grades, just posts the inspection results. The city supposedly inspects at least three times a year, with the goal of four yearly inspections.

They may do a lot of inspections in a particular area, then move to another, to be more efficient.

I'm Going Deaf Eating Out in LA

We had breakfast at the Old Town Cafe in Seal Beach today and I pointed out to my husband how relatively quiet it was although the place was full. The music was low and in the background. The food was good albeit not great; however, the service was very good and we will go back partially because we could hear each other easily.

Where to get good salami and bread near Long Beach

Get your bread at the Crema Cafe on Main Street in Seal Beach. There is an Angelo's Deli down the street, but I'm not a cured meat lover, so haven't paid much attention to their selection.

NYC 'Hounds Seeking A Saturday Brunch near the Mirimar

I should have been more clear that I did mean the Restaurant at the Getty Center. The OP said she prefers lunch to brunch and the Getty is a good place to spend time with family. There are frequently activities for kids there, too.

Considering the other options she mentioned, there is a good chance they would have paid at least something for parking wherever they went.

NYC 'Hounds Seeking A Saturday Brunch near the Mirimar

Do you just want to eat or would you like combine that with something else? If you can wait to eat until 11:30, the restaurant at the Getty Museum opens for lunch then and it is easy to get to from Long Beach and Santa Monica.
