18th Birthday Celebration in Paris
I love the thought of Guy Savoy as it appears to be quite fun and not stuffy in any way. I am concerned as I have read dinner can be nearly 1000.00 USD. That is beyond our budget as we are off to Avignon and a beautiful Chateau that I had stayed in years ago. There is a great restaurant near there with a fabulous view...if I can remember it! I have to be reasonable to be able to do everything What do you think the price range for and 18 year old and his mother would be for Guy Savoys. I hate to put it that way but the USD value is doubling what I had planned for when we started this plan when he was a freshman.

I had an email from another who said they stayed in the St. Germain area and there some nice bistros in that area and around Isle St. Louis. I want something totally France for his birthday. I had also read about the dinner cruises on the Seine. I am leary about these.
Restaurants along the Seine
We will be in Paris in July for my son's 18th birthday. I would like to make this a special celebration for him. Any suggestions? Also, we are staying in the St Germain area. Can anyone make suggestions in this area also?

Yes, something more formal. We are looking forward to a great celebration. I think we will have plenty of time for bistros. We are staying in the St. Germain area.

My son and I will be celebrating his 18th birhtday in Paris. He is fluent in French and this is a celebration of his graduation and his 18th birthday before he goes to college. He hopes to one day live in France so wants a true Parisian experience. Does anyone have a suggestion on making this a very special evening for him?
