To be more specific, I am looking for places that stand out among their competitors, consistently ranking as top favorites due to quality of food, service, atmosphere, value for $, etc.
For example:
Lunch spots for quality burgers, salads, sandwiches. Casual off-the-beach vibe.
Bars with outdoor seating with a relaxed atmosphere, drink specials, cool crowd. Again, casual off-the-beach vibe, pre-dinner cocktails, etc.
Dinner spots with high quality food (all kinds), nice decor, inventive menu, etc. Nothing too formal.
I will do a bit of a search to see what others have recommended. Thanks again!

Hi All,
I am heading down to Miami (from NYC) at the end of the month. We (4 guys celebrating my mates 35th) are staying on Ocean Drive and will not have a car. It is my first trip to Miami so I assume there are a ton of mediocre places they prey on visitors like me (as in all cities).
I am looking for moderately priced (ex: entrees $20-$30) restaurants for dinner, as well as good places to grab lunch / a quick drink during the day.
Any/all recommendations from locals or people who frequent Miami are appreciated! Thanks.

3ft. hoagies for party in lower Bergen County - any recommendations?
I am planning a holiday party for approximately 30 people. I need recommendations for delis/specialty stores/super markets, etc. that make large hoagies. Quality meats/cheeses/bread/ assorted salads, etc. I am supplying two three feet hoagies (American/Italian), salads and beer/wine; guests are bringing hors d'oeuvres /desserts, etc.
As a side, had anyone had the hoagies from Stop and Shop, either their own brand or the Boars Head? Many thanks!
Post baptism dinner for eight in Bergen County
My nephew is getting baptized in late August, and my sister and brother-in-law are looking for recommendations for a small Sunday dinner in Bergen County. They live in River Edge - a 20 min drive would be more then acceptable. They are looking for an intimate venue to celebrate this special occasion.
Classic, well prepared/presented quality food is key. We'll forgo any Italian options as the two families are Italian and can COOK. ;-)

turkey burger
I think the turkey burger at Westville is fantastic. I order it every time with bacon and smoked gouda - served on a soft Portuguese roll. Amazing.

Mignon Steakhouse Rutherford, N.J.
My sister, brother-in-law and I live in Rutherford, and have been to Mignons on several occasions. Unfortunately, we’ve had poor experiences the past two times and have pledged never to return.
On two separate occasions guests had ordered medium rare steaks and they came out seared - red and cold to the touch. After asking for the steaks to be cooked a bit more, they were returned extremely well done (??). In addition, the last time I was there my appetizer (coconut shrimp and scallops) was extremely greasy, and a side of au gratin potatoes was deemed inedible by all (they had been quite good in the past).
Based on the inconsistent quality and below average wait staff, I'd suggest reservations at another restaurant!
Bergen County gift certificate recommendation
My sister and brother-in-law are moving to River Edge in late January (from Rutherford). I'd like to get them gift certificates to some restaurants in their new neighborhood.
Please recommend any good places in the area (+/-5 miles, neighboring towns, etc.) that can hopefully become their new "local favorites". Thanks much!

I live in East Rutherford and my options are open, though I am leaning towards either Italian or Portuguese/Spanish (i.e. Ironbound). My priorities are quality, taste (!!) and value.

Light catering for baby shower - Northern Suffolk County
My mother is throwing a baby shower and would like suggestions on good caterers in Suffolk County (she lives in Miller Place). She wants to keep it simple and light- sandwiches, wraps, salads, perhaps a few hot trays, etc. She is looking for quality ingredients, selection, presentation, etc.
