Hot Pot AYCE at Yonge/Finch

how was the sauce selection?
do you have to get up to get your own food or do they bring it to your table?
what flavour soup did you get?

Where's the best fried chicken in the GTA ?

i love home of hot taste.
i usually always get the original chicken wings. i got a original half-chicken before, but i feel like they just chop the chicken up and toss it all in the fryer at the same time. some of the pieces come out dry and boney, other pieces are good.

they also have some sauced ones, like teriyaki which is okay, i think there's a soy and garlic which i enjoy and a spicy one which is good too. my fav is still original. it comes with salt on the side for dipping.

i've been to stockyards and wasn't that impressed. but i absolutely love home of hot taste. i live in east scarborough and will go out of my way for their fried chicken.

Yogourt (machine type) places in midtown..

there's a menchies at york mills+don mills which i've been to.
there's also one at yonge+lawrence as others have mentioned. i've never been to this location.
there's a yogurty's at bayview+eglinton which i went to today.

i tried two flavours from yogurty's, coconut and almond cookie. i found them to be not as creamy nor flavourful as menchies. but i've only had two flavours so it's hard to judge overall. the only extra thing i like about yogurty's is that they have malt balls as a topping.

at menchies, i've had green apple tart+original tart. i found it to be good but too sour when i got to the end. but overall, good flavour
second time, i had red velvet and cookies+cream. i loved these,

toppings are very similar but i think menchies has everything yogurty's has (minus malt balls) and even more.

i also find the atmosphere at menchies to be more upbeat, a lot more seating, brighter and more fun in general. makes you feel like a kid.

i'm looking to go to agave tomorrow, however i've read that seating is limited. can someone confirm if there is any seating at all please.
i plan on going with my boyfriend who currently has a broken ankle so he'll need to sit down!

any good restos anywhere in south Scar close to guildwood?

+1 i'd love to know good places to eat.

i've lived in the area my entire life (22years) and i haven't been to any of the restaurants in the area except the olde stone cottage for beer and wings, which aren't very good...and zen, which i love.

you usually get a bowl of edamame's. a lot of the time, if you sit at the sushi-bar and chat with the sushi chef, they have goodies behind the bar and will give you somel to try.

i was there two weeks ago and they had tako (octopus) in a wasabi based sauce that was really good. we just asked them what was good that day and they offered it to us. also had the sushi omakase.

Make your own ice cream

how well does this thing work??

i'm thinking of buying one but i really don't want to spend money on it if the ice cream turns out to be kinda gross.
