Brickell Ave area eats

Hey all,

I am in Miami every few months for business and usually stay near Coral Springs. This upcoming trip (in 2 weeks) I am staying in the Brickell Ave area near the Rickenbacker Causeway. I usually make plans and reservations (last trip in January I went right from the airport to The Federal to meet friends) but this trip I am trying not to have any fixed plans. Will be in town from Saturday-Tues.

I am looking for suggestions in the Brickell, Coconut Grove and Little Havana areas but am open for other neighborhoods. Interested in recommendations for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, casual & laid back. Open to any and all types of cuisine. My motto is "no fear and no allergies" when people ask about restrictions. Also if anyone can recommend some great juice bars that would be great.

Also would love to find some great ethnic food stores to do some shopping.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

Foodie parents coming to miami in 2 weeks--looking for reco's

I have been to both Tuyo (opening week) and The Federal. If you have the time, money and desire, Tuyo's tasting menus are great albeit pricy. I had the yasting menu when I went along with the wine pairings (their sommelier is on her way to Master Sommelier status).

The Federal is great fun with a bunch of adventurous food eating friends. Their Duck in a Jar is one of my favorite dishes so far this year. I absolutely loved Phuc Yeah! and Aniece & Cesar have done a great job with The Federal!
