America, You're Getting Two-Thirds of the Hot Wing

Growing up in the South, we never discarded any part of the wing..hell, we ate the whole thing. It's just recently when the rest of America "discovered" the pleasure of chicken wings, that the third part came up missing. lol

Anniversiary in Houston

May I suggest Pappadeaux's steak and seafood restaurant. Some of the best in creole/cajun cookery. A little pricey, but worth it. There are several locations in the Houston area as well as Galveston/Kemah, The Woodlands, and Katy. Happy Anniversary.

Have you tried PAPPAS? It was once called the BRISKET HOUSE, and is located on Pierce st in downtown Houston. Some of the best bbq in town. The side dishes are made from scratch, and the beans are to die for!
Not pricy, just good quality great tasting food, that will make you go back again and again.

A must-eat in the 3rd Ward (Houston)?

When I was a kid growing up in this area, Cream-Burger WAS the place to go for the best burgers and rootbeers. They had this humongus container that resembled a barrel, and they sold rootbeer with plenty of crushed ice on those hot muggy Houston days...for .26cents...I swear, it had to be a half gallon of delight!

It's been many years since I've been in Houston and that many since I've eaten at Cream-burger, but I can still taste the great burgers and ice cream...still etched in my mind.
I hope your experience will be as memorable
