Rehearsal Dinner - Center City

Try Estia on Locust Street across from the Academy of Music. I believe they have a private room. It's a Mediterreanean/Greek restaurant and the food is excellent. If you want to go to South Philadelphia, I would suggest Paradiso on East Passyunk Avenue; they have a private room upstairs and the Italian food is great. Unfortuantely neither of these two are BYOB.

For BYOB try, Salento, Branzino or Hosteria d'Elio...... all in center city. In South Philadelphia you can try Tre Scalini, L'Angolo or Caffe Valentino..... they are all BYOB's. Good luck!

Moist Cornbread

Made this recipe on Saturday; quick and easy; however I think 20min in my oven would have been enough time; bottom was a little more brown than usual as I left it in for 25min. Next time my plan is to add some corn kernels and a diced up jalapeno!

Le Petit Hibou

I'm impressed w/ the lessons learned here.....cocktails and a quick lesson in French language!!!!

PS.....I've been drinking Lillet for years. Love it. Always straight, on the rocks; however, I may have to try this recipe this weekend.

Au revoir y'all.............

Thanksgiving soup?

My favorite soup at Thankgsiving is a traditional corn chowder. Very easy to make, not too complicated.... corn, red pepper, potatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, a little onion.... my holiday guests always love my corn chowder soup.
