Kenzo is overrated. There is nothing that exciting about their noodles. We're just so starved for any authentic Japanese food that apparently Torontonians will hail mediocrity.
Any tips on roasting beets?
Just cooking time and tenderness. Smaller beets usually come with the tops still on so they're fresher. You can just cut up the large ones to get a similar cooking time as the smaller ones.
Last full day in Vancouver
I still haven't had my fill of oysters, so I'm thinking Joe Fortes for lunch. We've got Rodney's in Toronto, so I already know what that's about.
I also want an omakase sushi dinner, so I'm looking at Tojo's. Or should I be going somewhere else?
