Brunch with a vegan option

Fressen is great however it is hard to accommodate more than 4 people. The pace is also very slow. Great if you are having an evening out, not so great if you want to keep brunch under a couple hours.

Good Indian Takeout in downtown Toronto?

Again for Banjara, always very good. Their take out portions are generous to say the least. Usually good for a second meal.

Duffernin Grove Market Dinners

I quite like friday night suppers. The food is usually good, however can range from blech to outstanding depending upon the ingredients and the chef for the evening.

The atmosphere is one of a true community, it is very welcoming people will be happy to show you the ropes. For a first timer knowing where to line up and find things can be intimidating.

I recommend checking it out. Where else are you going to find a probably delicious dinner made from local organic ingredients for $6? Bring a blanket, tables go fast.

They usually announce the menu on their website at about noon the friday of.

Where do you buy your organic groceries?

I would recommend the Dufferin grove Farmers market (all organic) You need to get there early for eggs, however they have a great selection of baked goods, meat, produce, flowers....

I strongly recommend Fiesta Farms (Christie, just south of dupont), great organic selection and much more reasonably than the Big Carrot or Whole foods.

As for the Kensington Market ones. Essence of Life is great, however check your best before date. I avoid Tutti Frutti like the plague after getting moths more than once from their bulk goods.

Brunch with a vegan option

I am looking for recommendations for a great brunch place. I love brunch, as does my boyfriend as do many of my friends, however between my vegetarianism, his veganism and a few friends love of all things bacon we have a very tough time finding a good place to meet and brunch that isn't Utopia. y.

Anybody have an recommendations for a good brunch place with a vegan option?

Saskatoon Berries in Toronto?

I have seen saskatoon berry pies and preserves at one of the little stands at the Farmers "market" at the north end of Trinity Bellwoods (Dundas and Shaw).

I am yet to see them fresh anywhere. I took them for granted living out west.

Best pizza in Toronto?

If you are a traditional pepperoni pizza lover nothing beats Bitondo's (on clinton south of college)

However if you prefer the artisan pizza Terroni can't be beat.

Delicious and Sustainable?

Hi, I was looking for recommendations for a delicious, meal made form sustainable sources in Downtown Toronto. My Significant other will not eat anything is not vegetarian or the product of sustainable farming and fishing practices. This normally isn't a problem, however with an anniversary coming up we are looking for a nice restaurant with ambiance and a menu we can both enjoy.

our price range is up to $50 per plate.
Thank you in advance for the help!

Great veg brunch at Get Real---Really!

They have an apple and smoked gouda open faced sandwhich on thier brunch menu, it is definately worth trying.

Get real is never disappointing.

Snug Harbour

I lived in port credit for years, been to sung harbour a number of times found the food to be unremarkable and the service mediocre. It is still there, howver if you are going to be in toronto, there are certainly better places to dine in and around the city.

Is there ANY good places to eat breakfast in TORONTO?

I have always really enjoyed the breakfast at Get Real (ossington between queen and dundas). It is all organic and vegitarian, very fresh and delicious. I am yet to be diappointed.

Boom (on college) can make a great omelette if you can get in the door. I have given up hope on getting in on the weekends sadly, however M-F it is definately worth stopping by. They also make a wonderful espresso.
