GOOD SEAFOOD Rec needed Laguna to L.A.
I'm not familiar with the South Bay however my favorite oysters are at Ocean Ave in Santa Monica. They also offer a different menu everyday with lots of seafood and fresh catches. Then after lunch, you can walk to the 3rd Street Promenade for shopping!

Need restaurant rec for dinner near Coronado/San Diego area (moved from LA)
I will spending the weekend at the Hotel del Coronado. The San Diego area is completely foreign to me. I need a good restaurant recommendation for a romantic dinner. High end okay, any type of food okay. Thanks!
HELP! Need dinner suggestions to take client and his family around Disneyland!
Tried that....they're booked for a private party. Thanks though.
HELP! Need dinner suggestions to take client and his family around Disneyland!
The kids are elementary and jr high age and all the restaurants at downtown Disney are booked. :( Nothing too casual, fine dining okay. Thanks.
Help! Need restaurant recs for anniversary dinner!
Money is no object and I don't mind driving to the OC but prefer to stay in LA. We are open to all types of food but don't eat beef. Looking to find something with great ambiance, awesome food and good service is a must:
We've been to Providence, Jar, Jiraffe and Studio already so looking for something else. Thank you!
Cobras & Matadors: Beverly or Los Feliz location?
Which one is better or are they basically the same?
Baby Blues BBQ (Venice) good for lunch??
My favorite bbq place hands down!
I really like their sweet mash, mac&cheese and greens for the sides. My favorite dishes are the pulled port and Memphis style ribs with their homemade super spicy "xxx" sauce. :)
Providence-Chef's TM, Last night
OMG....everything sounds so heavenly! I am itching to go back again! How were the oysters?
LA hound spending short weekend in SF, need brunch/breakfast & dinner recs
I'll be up in SF this weekend and will be staying at the W. Any fantastic breakfast/brunch and dinner places I must try around that area? Thanks a bunch!
LA girl in NYC and need restaurants recs
I'm in New York from Thursday to Saturday and would appreciate some restaurant recommendations. I'm staying around Grand Central Station but don't mind traveling for some great grub.
There are no limitations: high end, low end, chic and modern, hole in the wall and everthing else. So please let me know how I can delight my taste buds before leaving NYC. Thanks!
Graduation dinner on the Westside?
My brother is graduating in June and I'm looking for a nice restaurant on the Westside for a party of 5. I've already tried Jar and would like something new and maybe a little on the hip side? How is West? Any suggestions will be much appreciated!
Dinner at the Venetian & Wynn in Las Vegas
I'll be in Vegas this weekend and want to make dinner reservations at the Venetian and Wynn. Here are the places that I'm thinking of:
Venetian: Bouchon, B&B, or some place else?
Wynn: I've been to the SW Steakhouse before but want to try something new. Any suggestions? I'm not interested in Okada or Red 8. Thanks a bunch!
Best Brunch Spot In LA for Mothers Day.
I like Whist at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. They have a nice selection for brunch.
Seafood on the Westside
I recommend Ocean Ave Seafood. They have the best oysters among other good seafood dishes. The service is quite good as well.
Sunday Brunch at the St Regis Monarch Hotel in Dana Point
Has anyone been there? I'm sure the view is just spectacular but how about the quality and quantity of food?
Where are you dining this weekend?
Not Italian, Steak or quite American, but I really like Ocean Ave Seafood on OceanAve. Great service and the freshest, best oysters I've ever tasted in my life. (Portions are big too)
Campanile for dinner- what to order?
Ooh...sounds like prime rib and skirt steaks are winners here!
Where are you dining this weekend?
I've always wanted to go to Norma's in the Le Parker Meridien in Palm Springs. I've been to the one in New York was just blown away by their brunch! My favorite is the Creme Brulee Waffle. They also have great pancakes. If you stop by, please please please review! Have fun!
Where are you dining this weekend?
Campanile for dinner tonight, thinking of going to Providence for their dessert tasting menu tomorrow night.
SCALLION PANCAKES?
Oh I forgot to mention that there's this Chinese breakfast place on the corner of New Ave & Valley (Yong He) has an awesome scallion pancakes as well, you can ask them to add an fried egg in between...so good!
SCALLION PANCAKES?
Dumpling Master has a pretty good scallion pancake but it's more chewy and a little on the greasy side but nonetheless tasty. Good Time Deli on the second floor of the Focus Plaza in San Gabriel has a perfect scallion pancake, not too greasy and too fried and just the right amount of crispy.
Sunday. Pasadena. Brunch.
OMG...the croissant french toast sounds amazing! I'm rencelty on a quest to find the best french toast in the city and I will have to visit Kathleens. Thanks!
Campanile for dinner- what to order?
Sorry for not being more spedfic, I'm gong there for dinner and the garlic mashed potatoes sounds delish!
Campanile for dinner- what to order?
Going to Campanile for the very first time on Friday night...what to order?
Spiciest Restaurant on Westside?
Boling Crab in Garden Grove has a pretty spicy sauce (ask for the whole sha-bang consisting of rajun cajun spices, garlic butter and lemon pepper) that goes on their crawfish, crab, shrimp and etc dishes. Makes my lips tingle just thinking of it!
Best Meal In My Life - Providence
I've got to get the chef's menu next time I go to Providence! My best meal ever was there too but we had the 9 course tasting menu. Each dish was like a work of art. Thanks for the review!
Ribs
Love love love Baby Blues in Venice. Lots of choices on sides. Besides the great ribs, they have 3 kinds of homemade bbq sauce...yum!
oragasmic brunch
I definitely agree with Viceroy's in Santa Monica for a more fancy buffet brunch. But if you're looking for something more casual, I recommend Jinky's and Omelette Parlour, both in Santa Monica. Jinky's has the best crunchy french toast that I've ever had and the waffles with the warm banana walnut topping at Omelette Parlous is quite orgasmic if I say so myself. :)
