Graduation Dinner near Wash. Sq. Park

I am looking for a fun restaurant for 8-12 people to eat and drink and celebrate my graduation. The only requirements are that it can accommodate our group comfortably, has delicious food and drinks, and is in walking distance of Washington Square Park (we can walk pretty far if its worth it). Hi Chowhounders! This summer my company has provided me with the opportunity to go to lunch twice a week at any restaurant below 14th street. Our budget is $65 per person (including tax and tip). Thank you to everyone who responded. These are all really great suggestions. I guess ideally we would go to a place that is both lively and delicious, but I guess those things are mutually exclusive. I guess its harder to ball out than i expected....

BEST PLACE FOR BALLER NIGHT!?

I am looking for a place in manhattan to make dinner reservations to celebrate a buddy's graduation from medical school. We would be looking to go in the beginning of June. It will be four 26-27 year old guys looking to celebrate with some great food and good drinks. The point is to go somewhere expensive where we wouldn't normally go. For example, last year when another friend graduated we made reservations at Gramercy Tavern and went all out. I'm looking to impress the guys by finding a place with even better food. Any suggestions?
