I was just scouring the paellapans.com site when your reply came in! I think that is the route I am taking. Great video too --thanks! |

thank you! I will check out those local places and take to heart what you are saying about cooking outdoors. The romantic in my wants to try it, but your point makes good sense -- uncooked rice is pretty unappealing! Maybe just a quick visit to the grill at the very end to form the soccarat and sooth my adventurous spirit! |

I am hoping to make paella for the first time on Christmas Eve. Any tips for buying a paella pan and has any one ever tried cooking it outside on a charcoal grill? NE weather being what it is it could be a bit dicey but I thought I would give it a go. Serving 8 people. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Just please don't tell me I am crazy!! |

Thanks for your kind words and suggestions! He is graduating from Swarthmore College which is located in Swarthmore, PA. I think you are correct about the crowds and we would be fine with heading into Philly if you had a good suggestion or two...he's a foodie like me so he would be open to just about anything, but would get a kick out of some place iconic to the area or a place that had a fun, quirkiness about it in some way... |

Looking for a fun and funky spot to celebrating my son's graduation from a college 11 miles South West of Philly over Memorial Day weekend. Traveling from MA and don't know the area very well at all...Graduation finishes up around noon, so we would be looking to get lunch somewhere with good food that isn't too upscale but works for a graduation. Ideas? |

I am heading out tomorrow on a leaf peeping day trip with my 73 year old mother and 20 year old son. We will be traveling from Massachusetts into Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine. Can anyone suggest a decent restaurant for us to stop at for lunch along the way? |

Hey --thanks for all the great ideas -- the - churrascaria concept sounds like something my son would LOVE. Appreciate all your thoughts! Happy Chowing!! |

Looking for a good place to take my steak-loving son to celebrate his high school graduation on Boston's North Shore or Southern NH. He isn't the type for an upscale steakhouse, but I would like something a cut about Outback. Is there a happy medium, I wonder? Perhaps something with a little off beat ambiance and great prime rib and T-bones. |

Thanks!! -- we've tried those -- guess I was hoping for a small step up from that -- maybe a place with a little off beat ambiance to compliment the good food----rather than the traditional upscale steak house --which is totally not my son's style. He just likes really good prime rib and T-Bone w/o a lot of fuss. It may be we are shooting for the moon... |
