African restaurants in north Toronto or York region

Looks great and will try myself but menu definitely feels French bistro and not African. Just out of interest, what are the particularly Cameroonian dishes?

Not sure yet what day of the week but won't be weekend or Friday

The dinner is for a group from the grandmothers' campaign that's part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation - they do this once a year and as far as I know! it's usually been Ethiopian food which they all liked. Think that approx $20 a head is what they've paid in the past

Beauty and Essex

Small plates designed for sharing -we had tacos (tuna; lobster) - get 3 pieces for each in crispy shell - loved it! Really excellent kale and apple salad- generous portion; very good French fries; tomatoes on toast - good but would be bottom of the list we ordered; outstanding molten choc bread pudding with creme brûlée type topping except made with cocoa I'm guessing

Lunch near the Metropolitan Museum on a Friday in February

not that familiar with the area - just know that we want to spend time at the Met Museum a.m. and possibly early afternoon too. It's for 2 people - unless something really worth the money, thinking not more than about $20 - 30'ish per person. Love most food - enjoy spice, asian cuisines, indian, in fact good 'anything'
Thanks for follow-up

Best brunch in Toronto

thanks for the replies. Glitz not important and not fancy hotel buffet but nice ambience and great food - ideally a choice of more savoury breakfast stuff but also some 'sweet' choices.

SALTED CARAMEL CUPCAKES OR CAKE IN TORONTO OR GTA - URGENT

good point, because will have to get them earlier and freeze them

SALTED CARAMEL CUPCAKES OR CAKE IN TORONTO OR GTA - URGENT

will definitely be requesting more 'crunch' - recipe I saw cut small cakes in half and had crunchy layer in between with buttercream on top and some type of sweet-salty meringue - wish I had time to make them!

SALTED CARAMEL CUPCAKES OR CAKE IN TORONTO OR GTA - URGENT

think she would actually prefer bit less sweet and maybe less is more on amount of buttercream - thanks for the heads and will contact them

Also - looking for something with real crunchy bits of salted caramel rather than mostly icing/frosting

SALTED CARAMEL CUPCAKES OR CAKE IN TORONTO OR GTA - URGENT

Need this for an upcoming baby shower and half-birthday for someone who has had a lousy pregnancy and deserves a treat before the due date - salted caramel is one of her favorites - if can't find to buy will try to make but recipes are time consuming and it's one of those crazy work times - can you help?
