Great and reasonably priced restaurant for early Sat evening dinner in Niagara area

Hosting dinner for 9 people on a early Sat evening in June after matinee in NOTL. Looking for something relatively near Grimsby. We do an annual visit every summer and have had wonderful meals at Inn on the Twenty and Vineland Estates. One of the best was Treadwells near St Catherines. Problem is more related to finding something that is really good and a bit more affordable because we would like to pay fr it - several real foodies in the group. Any tips or ideas will be very much appreciated.

Sick at home and desperately in need of some great MISO and sushi delivery in THORNHILL

had actually called them re delivery but didn't think of the taxi idea - person had a bit of a problem understanding what I wanted - at the time I wrote, was no 'someone' to pick stuff up - he was travelling..but seeing that still sick and he's home, might try - thanks for writing

and also to Iamaranthe re Cynthia's

thanks - only saw this now - landed up getting Italian from Dante's. Have tried the Indian from that company - only one in our area - was really disappointing...

Birthday Celebration Restaurant near 366 Bay Street in Toronto

Interested in all suggestions for a great birthday meal

don't go unless you like bland Indian food

I thought this time I had it right because I put restaurant name under review but guess I am still not doing it correctly - it's Earth Indian in N York

Delivery order via 'Just Eat' - food was bland, too much sauce, boring!!!

Paese - is it good?

just went to the Bathurst location tonight - salmon trout was pretty good - not outstanding, but more than good enough - excellent soup, great arugula salad and also enjoyed the shrimp appetizer

Calgary, Banff, the badlands, Lake Louise after mid June - your advice is needed

Last report from Drumheller - try the Greek Restaurant - think it's called Athens - generous portions - not fancy but we enjoyed hummus, greek salad and an island shrimp dish - could have stopped at the hummus and salad in terms of quantity - friendly service

Calgary, Banff, the badlands, Lake Louise after mid June - your advice is needed

think you're referring to Molly Brown's cafe - nothing there now and one store owner nearby said that 'the owner went back to Japan'

took your suggestion re Southern Spice of India - great dhosas - especially the spicy chicken - unpretentious place

found the Vietnamese Noodle House in 2nd Street in Drumheller - skip the western menu - we had pretty good pho (beef noodle) and a veg stir fry with chicken on rice big enough to share - so by no means 'fine dining' but pretty good food and very reasonable. Best of course was the iced Vietnamese coffee

- will be hungry I'm presuming if landing at noon and then also will =
have two nights in Drumheller so want to try something different - =
thought that there might be something in Calgary on way from airport =
that does not entail getting involved in traffic etc - any other suggestions welcome -

we're arriving in Calgary at noon - after picking up rental car etc thought we eat somewhere that makes sense if driving to Drumheller for late afternoon/early evening - anything specific from anyone that you'd suggest as our first Alberta meal :) Don't mind lunch being the main meal and something lighter in evening in Drumheller

Great value - go and try it [Segar Restaurant]

went because of recommendations we found on Chowhound - so where are replies from people who have enjoyed meals at Segar - certainly not saying it's among the top restaurants but thought we got great value for what we paid. Agree that the food was not 'unusual' but was well prepared, attractively served and pretty tasty

OK OK - will put you all out of your misery and apologies for being such a techie failure - thought I had put the restaurant name on this time but obviously still did not do it the right way - restaurant is 'Segar' on Bayview in Toronto

Great value - go and try it [Segar Restaurant]

took a friend for a birthday dinner - first visit - good service - really tasty food - I had the steakfrites and she had linguine - we both loved our choices. Re apps - had edamame salad - excellent but less 'over the moon' re the crab fritters - maybe expecting too much after reading previous reviews - they are good but not that spectacular. Overall, will definitely be going again - a real find! (And, BTW, it is definitely NOT Indian food)

Zaffron Restaurant: Worth a visit

This unpretentious resto deserves your attention - only commenting on Persian menu - been there a few times now - food is delicious with appetizers the best

second thank you to the next round of replies: Re Drumheller - although two nights, will actually only have one full day and wanted to have that - but thanks for the heads-up; will try what has been recommended - can't wait - first visit to Alberta!

B & B's are fine as long as there is private bathroom

TORONTO - Looking for really good dining experience near Jane Mallett Theatre (St L Market area)

Thanks to all of you for taking time to respond - tried Biff's for the first time and had a wonderful meal - two of the three of us had oysters which were good - I had perfect caesar salad - crisp and fresh. They were very accommodating re sharing two mains between three of us - the bouillabaisse was outstanding as was a 35 day aged steak. Finished with cheese plate and the profiteroles plus good coffees - thumbs up to the service and the food

Mississauga advice for a Monday night coming up very soon - NEED YOUR EXPERT OPINION

unfortunately, our guests were not keen on vegetarian - I would have preferred the dosa place myself - landed up going to Nirvana - food quite good - but can you imagine an Indian restaurant out of samosas and one or two other signature dishes... thanks for all the advice

Mississauga advice for a Monday night coming up very soon - NEED YOUR EXPERT OPINION

thanks to all of you!! Will offer these suggestions. What is best Indian and/or Japanese resto in Mississauga in your opinion ?

Mississauga advice for a Monday night coming up very soon - NEED YOUR EXPERT OPINION

Great Portuguese chicken in Markham or Richmond Hill??

have heard of it - have you been there? While I'm online, any suggestions re great dim sum near Roy Thompson Hall?

Great Portuguese chicken in Markham or Richmond Hill??

Any suggestions?

Paese - is it good?

We had a really great dinner there a few weeks ago - friendly service - I had grilled Branzino - was superb. In addition, I thought I lost a pearl earring - not only were they helpful at the time but a week or two later, I received a call to say that someone had found an earring and was it mine (which luckily I had found)
