What Was Your Superbowl Beer?

Ninkasa's TOTAL DOMINATION IPA. You can bet we'll be drinking it again this year!

What Was Your Superbowl Beer?

Ninkasa's TOTAL DOMINATION. We drank it last year and clearly it had an impact on the outcome of that Superbowl. Just doing our part as 12s.

What Food Trend are You So Sick Of?

Salted caramel, salted chocolate. Yes, salt does good things for sweets. We get it already.

Your disappointing purchases from Costco

Papillon Roquefort. I ADORE cheese...especially blues (I love the stilton Costco sells around Christmas), but after having another salad ruined by even the smallest amount of this roquefort I've decided to throw it out (for me to throw away cheese is extraordinary). It is incredibly harsh and offers none of the flavor payoff.

Hand Hammered Wok from E-Wok Review

Excellent - just the kind of info I was looking for. I ordered one (one handle style) today (seller taost on Ebay). I was going to get the pow wok from the Wok Shop but this one looks like the real deal -- not a bunch of dimples hammered into after manufacture.

In Seattle on a college-budget

There are lots of interesting, cheap restaruants on University Avenue near the UW--after all, they cater to college students. And Seattle's International District has great options. I love Wonton Noodle House for a delicious, filling, cheap bowl of SuiKau Noodle soup with bbq pork. There are a bunch of vegie markets that are super cheap and the produce is great -- my hunch is that a lot of it is locally grown by the same folks who sell produce for a whole lot more at Pike Place and other more upscale farmers markets.
