I still like the Chevy Chase Pavillion / Mazza Gallery area where you have several empty, big box retail sites with Metro (subway) and parking.
Cilantro for authentic Mex in Rehoboth Beach
Hi Sensuous - unfortunately the best salad bar in the beach area is probably at Giant Foods. Would be nice if someone would open one of those salad bars like on every corner in NYC with multiple food stations. And best wishes with the healthier choices as I'm trying to do the same.

Cilantro for authentic Mex in Rehoboth Beach
Finally got around to trying Cilantro last Friday night and loved it . Chef / owner recreates the (spicier) cuisine of Puebla region of south Mexico. Had the mole chicken and the mole is amazing. Hear the ceviche is also good but we didn't try it. Various weekly specials. Located at 122A Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

small brewery in southwest Delaware called Evolution Craft Brewing Company - its at that stage Dogfish Head was at maybe 20 years ago. They have a great IPA called "Lot # 3" that has become my go-to bottle. They also offer growers (only) of "Lot # 6" which is a DIPA.

The name escapes me but there is a great beer store almost next to the Standard Tap Pub (2nd & Popular Sts in Northern Liberites) that has a very impressive selection of beers. Maybe seek them out ?

Hi Sensuous - Henlopen City Oyster House is decent especially since they have a good selection of beer on draft, including a cask conditioned, to go with the oysters. I see Salt Air is opening a branch in the old health food store on Rt 9 - heard anything yet?

We've had several good visits at Orso and find it far superior to the chef's old haunt Two Amy's. Suggest you also try new-ish branch of Fireworks Pizza in Arlington.

Assuming you mean Chestertown Maryland - haven't been there in awhile but remember that Andy's, Blue Heron Cafe, and the restaurant in the Imperial Hotel as all being good.

the nice thing is alot of the local beach joints have started their off-season "locals" special nights and you can find decent, reduced price burgers at Jerry's, Striper Bites, Timothy's, Irish Eyes, etc.

Help? Road trip through Western Maryland on I-70 and I-68
Perhaps a bit too far off the Interstate but Shepherdstown has some nice places to eat as does Berkeley Springs. Hagerstown has the german Schmankerl Stube or Café del Sol. Savage River Lodge near Frostburg is excellent for dinner. At Deep Creek try Canoe on the Run for breakfast or lunch and Mountain State Brewing Co for pizza & microbrews.
