Jerusalem Dinner

We'll be in Jerusalem one night; staying near Tower of David and Jaffa Gate. Recommendations for dinner please. Would prefer something "regional" and not terribly expensive (I know that's a fuzzy set) and within walking distance of our hotel.

Any thoughts on these two restaurants??

We will be in BCN 25-28 November. We are not big on "fine dining" but do like to eat local style meals. We also are partial to seafood of all sorts. Have had some recommendations on these two places:

We are staying iin the Gothic Quarter .

Thanks,

We'll be at the New Sanno hotel in the Minato Ward pretty close to the Hiroo train station. Does that help?

Southern Sweden and Jutland recommendations

We'll be in Jutland for 4 days (just outside of Arhus) and in Skane for 4 days (Helsingborg) as well as Copenhagen for two days. Looking for good ideas for local dining. We will have a car and may get up to Goteburg, but we can drive a bit for the right place.
Thanks,
Greg

How come there is no board for Germany?

I'm guessing the "CHowhound" founders don't think German food really qualifies as "cuisine."

Choosing Amsterdam restaurants

The menu items on their webpage for lunch are rijstafle. However you can also order ala carte if you'd rather. Rijstafel order needs to be for at least two persons. If there are, say, four of you; two could order therijstafel and the other two each order an item or two off the ala carte and then still share. That allows you to tailer the selection a bit if you'd like.

tempo doeloe in Amsterdam, prices?

Here's a couple of links that might help. The first is a general review and pricing info. The second is the English version of their web page which will allow you to drill down to their menu and prices. The third is a link to another option where we had a family dinner (2 Vegitarian Rijstafels and two meat (forget exactly which). It was all served family style (rijstafels always are I think) and everyone could pick and choose. Everythig was explaiined so the Vegitarians in our group could avoid accidentally getting into some meat. The last is a quick seach against "Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam" from a Virtual Toursit web site.

Good luck, hope you find somethig that works for you and yours and happy dining!

Choosing Amsterdam restaurants

Not on your list but an interseting variation for one night might be Indrapura or Sama Sebo for a Rijstafel. We had a great family dining experience at Indrapura one night.

Any experience with La Fermette du Sud-Ouest

Frommer's gave this place one star on their system. Anyone ever been there? If so, what did you think?

We will be in these to town in June sight seeing and are looking for recommendations for a nice lunch for 5. Overlooking the Donau would be nice in Ulm but not a requirement.

Duck Confit near the Lourve

We will be visiting Paris 13 through 15 June. We would like to plan on one nice out for the family (there are 5 of us ages 24-58). My son would like to have Duck Confit while he is there. We are staying in the Halles area. Is there a place anyone can recommend in this areaa with Duck confit for say 30 euros a piece or so?? Saw La Fermette du Sud-Ouest on Frommer's site but also saw a review that said "don't go there." Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
