CJ's Eatery

Visiting from Boston and I just had a delightful breakfast at this cafe at Cedar and 1st. Crab cakes and eggs, perfect. Great staff, fantastic service, delightful experience. Teenab

clamshacks??

I was at Woodman's last weekend. Big belly clams, no sand or grit. Tried their "famous" clamcakes, almost gagged so greasy, no discernable clams anywhere to be seen. Onion rings also had that too much grease mouth feel, didn't eat those. Turner's seafoord Grill in Melrose has really good fried seafood and the best onion rings around. Crunchy, oniony and not greasy. Turner's is not a clam shack though.

Cold Rush in Melrose

Ha! I took a walk down Main St, Melrose when I moved here over 20 years ago. I counted 14 pizza places and 12 hair salons. NO other restaurants at all. I used to call it the town to get a slice and a cut. Things have improved immensely since then.

Pizza in malden

I had the thinnest crust pizza Friday night from the Corner Deli in Melrose, across from the Wyoming Train station. Only 14" not 18" but it's thinner than Bacci's.

Hey - another question - I want, I crave really good sushi while in San Francisco later this week. Your suggestions please, I'll go anywhere in the Bay area.

Marina Area in August

Thank you. I eat everything but salmon. I plan on eating at Greens one evening, Friday or Saturday. I'm setting up on Thursday so I can go anywhere in SF. Sunday night I'll probably be at Fort Mason until 8 or 9 packing up and doing paperwork to ship my stuff home so I'll probably only have a chance to grab a quick bite before I get back to the motel to pack up. I'll check out some of the places on Chestnut.

Marina Area in August

Hi - coming to SF for the Craft show at Fort Mason in August and staying on Lombard in the Marina and I won't have a car. Any good recommendations within walking distance besides Greens. Also I'm thinking of heading to Wine Country for a couple of days after that weekend and looking for recommendations for a really good meal but not one that I need to take out a home equity loan for.

In search of the ULTIMATE Lobsta Roll

Billy's Famous Roast Beef on Main St on the Melrose/Wakefield line. $16 or $18.00, comes with fries. Toasted bun, not too much mayo, last one I ordered seemed to have the whole lobster in there.
