Best meal I ever ate:
In Rouen, France, in 1999, I had a seven-course meal that changed my life by starting me on the way to being considered a food and wine snob. But, really, I just like tasty food. And wine.
My current drink of choice:
Disaronno on the rocks. It's like booze candy.
I really wish I could:
travel more, eat out more, cook more elaborate meals. Maybe when the kids are older...
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Changes depending on the season, the guest(s) and my whims.
My favorite comfort food:
Pudding. Any kind.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Where I live now (admittedly slim pickings): El Ambia Cubano (Cuban). Yellow Dog (French). Salt & Sweet (Polish). Happy Healthy Human (vegan raw food). Cafe Coconut Cove (German fusion)
My most tattered cookbooks:
How To Cook Everything; How To Cook Everything Vegetarian; Epicurious; Cook's Illustrated; Larousse Gastronomique
