Chicory for Sale
Hopefully it's just the business and not the building that's for sale. Does anyone know? Yeah, it was pretty good at first, but got weird.
Israeli Restaurant
http://www.miriamrestaurant.com/ has two Brooklyn locations (Park Slope and Cobble Hill). Good food and friendly service. I prefer the ambiance of the Cobble Hill restaurant, especially the back room and garden in rear, but both are quite good.
Sandwich and Hero
Panele Special from Ferdinando's is a great call! I'll second that (and just about everything else mentioned here) and also recommend Vinny's on Smith Street Sackett/Union for hot Italian heros.
